my oldest and dearest

I love this pedal. The fact that you have a 3 band eq in such an inexpensive box is amazing. You can dial in any tone you want and adjust the drive and volume to suit the amount of overdrive you want. Makes my tube amp sound like i am going to blow it without actually blowing it. Well worth the money.

sturdy, versatile, but a little harsh

This is one of the nicer Dano pedals- medal case, medal button. The 3-band eq gives you more options for OD- turning down the mids can give you a nice scooped sound that I can't get with some other pedals. However, the OD itself can sound a little harsh and solid-statish. It doesn't do the nice breakup of tube OD quite as well, but I've had it now for ~10 years and I don't plan on getting rid of it. I also like the switch on this pedal- it's very soft, there's no noticible click like in e.g. EHX pedals. That makes it very barefoot friendly.
