When i bought this i was in a hurry. i needed a cheap distortion peddle and i didnt have much money. I later found out that the only thing cheap about this was the price. this product can easily compare to 50 or 60 dollar distortion peddles. it has two nobs, one for the level of distortion and one for the volume. these are both firm and turn easily. There are two cord slots, input and output, and one switch (you can see it in the picture) to turn the peddle on and off. Everything on the peddle works smoothly, and the sound is great. If you're looking for an on off ditortion switch without having to go to your amp this is for you. The only problems i have had with this is the screw for the battery on the bottom and the battery itself. The screw is plastic, and is stripped by anything but your hand almost immeadietly as soon as you try to get it off, which is a problem. Seeing as you need to get a battery in the pedal for it to work and the screw is very tight. The best thing to use is your hands to get it off, as annoying as that may be, and i reccomend keeping the screw fairly loose so that you can take it off with your hands easily if the need arises. Next the battery life, all i have to say about that is that it is short. One 9V may only last you a day or two, be prepared to re-stock it. So, in conclusion, this is a very nice pedal. It works amazingly well for an amazingly low price.
Theres nothing that can compare to this price for such a great product. Don't be mislead by the price into thinking that it's just some cheap pedal. This product easily compares to $50 pedal. I am shocked at the quality of it. It has great tone and easily transitions from regular to the effect without a flaw. It's also very easy to hook up. I plan on going to guitar center soon to get more effects of the same series.
When I bought this pedal I didn't expect it to be quite as good as it is. I got it as a mess around pedal. So her it goes. It adds lots of gain, and is great for not only metal but hard rock, and if you have a stratocaster and turn the gain knob down it gets a great blues tone! I love it! and well...as for being made out of plastic, I got over it. Just be gentle with in. THIS IS NOT A STOMP BOX!!!! I can't stress that enough! All in all it is a good starter pedal!
