Coveted overdrive sounds in a fab little pedal.
History was made in 1975 when a mom-and-pop store in California commissioned the production of just 200 of what is perhaps the best overdrive effect ever. Unlike any other unit, that pedal authentically simulated the breakup that occurs when a tube amp is run at full volume. You will occasionally see an original in the stage rig of a major artist. IF you could find an original offered for sale, you should probably sit down before inquiring about the price . . . Now Danelectro can put this classic in your hands without wiping out your financial portfolio. Features Level, Tone, and O.D. controls.
Danelectro D-2 Fab Overdrive Features:
- Realistic tube overdrive
- Responsive
- Versatile
- Level, Tone, and O.D. (Overdrive) knobs

Great Blues OD!
I've been using this for a while now. Let me tell you, you can't find a better deal. I've used a lot of pedals in my day, and this one has the sound I've been looking for all my life, not to distorted, just a nice warm overdrive, like early Stones. Yes, it's made of plastic, but if you don't abuse it, it will last you a long time. Mine is still in perfect condition, take care of your equipment, you'll be better off that way. Just try it for yourself, it's only $15.00.

Don't judge a book by its cover
Don't judge a book by its cover is right. Even though its a plastic, 15 dollars pedal, and you are not expecting much out of it, its great. The Fab line from Danelectro are really great for the price. The Fab overdrive just looks like crap, but sounds like million dollars. The pedal gives you alot of sounds, including a beefy overdrive, or even just a way to boost your clean tones little bit with a bit of overdrive. The controls are really simple with just o.d., tone, and level knobs. For mine, I use it as a boost for my zw-44 by controlling the level, and putting the o.d. knob and the tone knob all the way up. It'll give you a really cool sound, and a great to boost your pedals or just to use it as a main overdrive.

Danelectro D-2 Fab Overdrive
I use this connected to my valve jr. head and now I can have the overdriven sound without cranking my amp. It sounds really good for a 15 dollar pedal and does just what it should and that is put out some rockin tones. This thing really screams when adjusted right it just takes time, play with it and see what you can get out of it. Very good pedal at an even better price.

A decent overdrive at a price that cannot be beat!
The Fab Overdrive is worth every penny. The pedal is made of strong durable plastic and the indicator light is bright blue and easy to see. There are 3 adjustment knobs, one for O.D., one for Tone and one for Level. You can go from a very light, subtle overdrive to a screaming blues-rock sound with the turn of a knob. This pedal doesn?t get muddy sounding unless you turn everything up all the way. In comparison to the Fab Distortion and Metal pedals this pedal is just about silent while the other two were pretty noisy. I play the pedal through a 120 watt Roland Jazz Chorus with a little reverb and it sounds really amazing. I highly recommend this pedal to anyone because of the low price. Add it to your arsenal!

Danelectro D-2 Fab Overdrive
This overdrive pedal does its job. It's not fancy or anything like that, but it works well. I like using this pedal along with the overdrive on my amp, it makes a great sound. This pedal feels a little cheap, but it seems sturdy and reliable.
