  • Surprisingly great

As reviewed by Joel on 5/14/2010

So I was looking to add a good chorus pedal to my rig and I came across this one in a music store. I had previously owned a Danelectro practice amp and was extremely impressed with the quality of the product. Ever since then, I've been a fan of Danelectro products, and seeing as how this pedal was significantly cheaper than the Boss CH-1 I originally planned to get, it seemed like a sure thing. The casing is metal, as opposed to the plastic used on most pedals at a comparable price, and built to last. I plugged it into a Marshall DFX100 combo, tweaked a few settings, and voila! It has a lot of versatility, and you can achieve everything from the classic chorus sound to spacy, delayed tones for more ethereal guitar licks. Also, it has a cool blue LED when the pedal is active that looks really cool when the lights go down during a show. Just a personal, aesthetic bonus in my book. Overall, a great product worth the purchase. Even at twice the price, I would buy this pedal. Danelectro continues to impress me.

  • Suprisingly great!

As reviewed by Casey on 6/6/2010

This is a great little chorus pedal. It's really solid. The thing about this pedal that totally blows me away is that it has one of the slowest "rate" settings in the market. Which means you can get a really wide-open, thick and rich chorus sound of it, without really noticing it... it's just kinda there in the mix. This trick works awesome with acoustic guitars too. The only thing I don't like is that the knobs are on the back. This keeps you from accidentally turning one, but you can't look down and see your settings either. Other than that, it's a great pedal. Man, for 50 bucks, you can't go wrong.

When I received this gadget I didn't know what to expect,it was inexpensive with lil said about it.I love it.It goes from mellow soothing to mind bending psychodelia.I plug a mike into it and play woodwinds for some drastic psych experiences that are not forgetable, permanant part of arsonal.
