Comments about Dampit Guitar Humidifier:

Have used these in my guitars for many years. Absolutely necessary in many climates to protect the guitar's wooden structure and sound.

Comments about Dampit Guitar Humidifier:

Great product....Will bring a guitar....."back from the brink". I have seen dryness cracked guitars....kind of "come back together", with the intensive use of this product...It will fix a guitar that has cracked, the crack will meld back together and sometimes you can't hardly even SEE it anymore, after about a week or 2 treatment with this!

Humidifiers for Wall Hung Guitars

By Taylor Martin

from Ontario, Canada

About Me Experienced

Pros

  • Easy To Use
  • Good Quality

Cons

    Best Uses

      Comments about Dampit Guitar Humidifier:

These humidifiers are, in my opinion, the best available for wall hung guitars. Those of us who play often this arrangement avoids the constant opening and closing of the case. What I have found, though, is that some of these are better designed than others. As the unit hangs inside your guitar, it is best if the bottom end has a good inch or more of un-punctured green tubing. If the holes go almost to the bottom end, there is no room to act as a reservoir. They only stay wet for a day at best. If there is room for water to collect then the holed part of the tube can wick the water up over a longer period of time. All other styles of portable humidifiers are not effective if the guitar is keep on the wall or upright in a stand.

      Comments about Dampit Guitar Humidifier:

Product works great. I was concerned it would weep water and it does not. It keeps the humidity uniform in the guitar case and functions as advertised. The Dampit also came with a sound hole cover that attaches to the humidifier, and even though I do not live in a dry climate where I need to use it, I am glad it came with it and I will keep it in my collection of stuff for any time I will be traveling through dry areas. For the money, I would recommend getting this product if you have an acoustic instrument.

        Comments about Dampit Guitar Humidifier:

I had previously used the Oasis, but over the course of a couple years it started to leak when slightly squeezed... I have another guitar that I had been using anolder Dampit and it works great...The new Dampits are a little smaller in diameter and length. I imagine I'll have to rehydrate the new Dampit more frequently.
