The Demonizer delivers

If you're looking for an ultra-high gain distortion that can produce the kind of thick,saturated tones associated with expensive tube amps, you've come to the right place. The Damage Control Demonizer not only delivers all the scooped out metal tones you seek and gives you a lot more; what you have here is a great tube preamp capable of getting anything from vintage, overdriven tones to the "Brown" sound and, of course, modern Metal. With 2 12AX7's at a real amp voltage of 250 volts the tubes are free to sing. The compression is ultra smooth and the EQ's fantastic; with a pre tube semi-parametric band and post tube treble and scoop, it allows an amazing range of tones with just a few simple settings. The speaker emulation on the Direct Out is so good that I've been running my humbucker equiped USA Strat into the Demonizer, straight to the mixer and into my DAW. If you were truly satisfied with your tone you wouldn't be looking at the Demonizer and while it's not the cheapest metal pedal on the market, it's probably the only one you really need.
