Don't be fooled by its vintage ivory pearl finish, abalone binding, and the vines and flowers fingerboard inlay. This is no sissy guitar. Mahogany body, fully adjustable tune-o-matic-style bridge, Grover tuners, and dual high-output humbuckers let it rock with the boys. Coil split switch converts humbuckers to single-coil pickups.
Daisy Rock Stardust Elite Venus So I finally bought this guitar last summer after lusting after it for over a year. When we removed her from the box all eyes were on her. She is even more beautiful than the picture can show. The Venus is killer. It is Daisy Rock Greatness. As a woman player it is great to hold an instrument for over an hour and not be weighed down by it. In other words it is lightweight. The neck fits perfectly in my hand and is smooth with great action. I have encountered a bit of fret buzz but I think it is the strings. When you split the coil it gets an almost "Strat" sound which is great for a bluesy sound. When the humbuckers are engaged and the everything is turned up all the way the distortion is killer (especially through a tube amp!) A neat feature of this guitar (pre-2007 model) is that the stopbar is bolted to the body which (I think) changes the tone (the 2007 model is a string-through body). I definitely suggest placing strap locks on it and I do have to tighten around the input jack occasionally but other than that the Venus is awesome. I highly recommend this guitar!
I saw this guitar in a local music shop and I just had to try it out! It's beautiful in person! And it's ultra light and thin, I've never seen one so thin before. It's defiantly worth the money, I love all daisy rock guitars though, I have tried almost everyone, but I can't decide which one I want more. Anyway, this is a great buy, I would TOTALLY go for it.
I got this for Christmas '06 and it's awesome! The ratings dont do it justice it sounds great and more importantly it is beautiful a picture doesnt do it justice either. I highly recommend this guitar!
