This CP-7500 Single-Braced Hi-Hat Stand was designed with the working drummer in mind. Light, yet sturdy, this single-braced hi-hat stand features a foldable-radius-rod base, which contributes to the lightweight construction without sacrificing stability. DW manufactured this stand with plastic tube insulators inside the heavy-gauge tubing—a necessity in recording situations to avoid rattling when drum mics are placed close to stands. The SM379 Locking Clutch comes standard and allows you to dial in your preferred closed sloshiness and then lock those settings in place.

Pure, simple and light. I have plenty of hardware that has served me well through the years that was built to last and weigh twice as much. Leave it at home! The DW 7000 series stands are built to travel and have the same DW quality mechanisms. This stand packs up a lot faster with no screws to turn on the foot plate like other DW models. For the smaller fit in your bag you might just bring an extra stand to the next gig.
After 45 years of consistently performing in working bands, it is tough to beat DW when it comes to pedals. I continue using them and even with a relative entry-level hi hat model, the CP 7500 that I just purchased is so smooth, so quiet. And you just know that DW pedals are road warriors...at a workable price.
I bought this stand two weeks ago and have took it on gigs a few times. It's very functional and transport friendly, easy to set up and I like the short rod that comes w/ it(also includes a long rod). If you move your gear frequently like I do this is the stand for you. I have no issues w/ this stand and it performs well, the only reason I gave 4 stars is I feel the Tama Iron Cobra 905 HH stand is the best out there but the Tama is heavy and not practical for the local working drummer.
I purchased this stand because I like DW Hi-Hat stands and wanted something lighter to carry. This stand is really nothing more than a throw back to the good old days. It's simple sets up and breaks down quick doesn't take up a lot of room in my beato gig bag. It's much much lighter than my previous Delta 5500D which I sold imediately lol. Who needs all that double braced non-sense anyway I don't and this stand is just as smooth in the action and sturdy. Do yourself and your back a favor and buy it. You won't be sorry.
I replaced my 8 year old PDP hi-hat stand recently because I wanted a sturdier, more heavy-duty hi-hat stand that had adjustable legs so it can fit perfectly next to my double pedal. I got just that with this stand and at an unbeatable price. Also, it comes with a long rod and a short rod so you can use either depending on your preference. My favorite feature is being able to adjust the spring tension on the pedal. This stand also improved the sound of my Sabian hi hat cymbals and made playing hi hat and double pedal much easier.
