The flagship of the DW pedal line-up, the DW 9000 Double Pedal features multiple patented innovations such as a free-floating rotor-drive system, rotating swivel springs and infinitely adjustable cams allowing a more direct transfer of energy that optimizes the stroke for more power and precision. The speed and fluidity of 9000 series pedals is due to a multi-bearing system that reduces friction and improves feel.
The Infinite Adjustable Cams featured on DW 9000 Series Pedals allow the pedal to be easily set from Accelerator to Turbo Drive or anywhere in between. A patented Floating Swivel Spring system increases efficiency on the down stroke and return stroke, while a state-of-the-art Ball Bearing Hinges design deliver fluid footboard action. The pedal is chain-driven, but to cater to preferences, 9000 Series Bass Drum Pedals also includes Nylon Straps for easy conversion.
A Dual Adjustable Toe Clamp ensures the pedal and drum stay connected to any kick drum hoop. The Single Post Casting design on DW's double pedals offer ease of movement between the pedal and hi-hat, also allowing the pedals to be played independently or simultaneously. DW machines its Precision Universal assemblies in-house from aircraft-grade aluminum to meet strict tolerances. All 9000 pedals come with a convenient Clip & Drum Key.
The result is a double pedal with smooth, effortless action.

Shame on DW for betraying the American workforce. Shame on DW for exploiting workers in countries that don't have good labor laws, that subject their works to terrible conditions and terrible pay. For $600, you would expect an American drum company to make a pedal in America. They've jumped on the global outsourcing bandwagon, for a few pennies. Highly disappointing. $600. Made in Taiwan.
I have had Rogers Swivomatic, Ghost, Tama.....these are the Best!! Enjoy!!
I have a double base acoustic kit and so a double base pedal has always been unnecessary for me, and honestly I have had a lifelong bias against them. For my birthday my wife got me. Roland TD30vk kit and she got this pedal to go along with it (Thanks Connie!). I was astonished at how good it works. It feels like playing a bona fide double base! Incredibly adjustable, lots of finesse, and lots of power. In fact, I am seriously considering going single bass in my acoustic set to free up some real estate, and buy another DW9000 for the double base effect. It really works that well.
Ive played double base acoustic deums my whole life. For my birthday my wife surprised me with a Roland TD-30vk electric kit, something I had been wanting for some time. She knew I would want double base, so after some consultation with the folks at Guitar Center, she also bought me the DW-9000 pedal. Ironically, I've held a strong bias against double base pedals for decades, beliving them a poor substitute for the real thing. Was I ever wrong. This pedal works perfect. It works so well, and I am so happy with it I am seriously considering buying another one for my acoustic kit, dropping a base drum to free up some real estate. It really does work that well. :) It is also VERY adjustable so I suspect most people would be able to get exactly what they want. The quality is very good. It is obvious from holding and inspecting it, and of course playing it, that they did not skimp on materials. No cheap plastic. I prefer the chain drive but it is easily convertible to nylon if desired, and the conversion kit is included. I love these pedals.
