To Drummers, This Pedal many will look at and turn away from. I am writing letting you know its a free floating pedal and fast. I have not played a double bass for this low and this hard quality. DW has been a company around for many years. And I can see why they put so much craftsman work into there products before they release it. I am a fan already of this pedal. The cam is fast, and the consistancies of beats are far better then many other double bass pedals I have played. The quality in the pedal is far surpassed any other brand. Im a big fan of Pearl but I now know i'm a bigger fan for DW

Honestly ive had these for over a month and im going to trde them in for some pearl P2002's or ICs because these really aren't very good. their kind of stiff, lack adjustment, and the foot boards take a while to return to your foot. the slave pedal doesn't hit with the full force of the right, and if you switch from using the slave to the hi-hat pedal the slave gets stuck and it's very annoying. over all its a decent pedal but for the money get something like IC jrs or pearls. But id say just save some more and get the full ICs or eleminators.

Best for the money

By Frenzycub

from Portage, WI

Comments about DW 7002PT Double Bass Drum Pedal:

I have this pedal on one of my practice kits. For the money its an amazing value. However, I will always use my DW 5000 series for shows. The 7000 slave pedal tends to get stuck or catch every now and then, throws ya off guard.

More Quality from DW

By DWdrummer

from Chicago,IL

Comments about DW 7002PT Double Bass Drum Pedal:

After trying out almost every double bass pedal available at my local store for $300 or under this was my favorite. The pedal gives a very smooth feeling and the beaters make your kick drum sound unbelievable, especially when mic'd.

by far best in price range

By ludwig von vintage

Comments about DW 7002PT Double Bass Drum Pedal:

watch out! others are too expensive; cheaper ones have less features! key feature: left pedal allows addition of extra beater so pedal can be used separately!! buy the peice needed, and you've got 2 pedals(for a cowbell setup, or whatever)! this is THE BEST OF ANY MAKE IN PRICE RANGE.

Phenominal Pedal!!!!!!

By kamakaziguy228

from Fishers, IN

Comments about DW 7002PT Double Bass Drum Pedal:

I tried this out at the local Guitar Center in my area and I just HAD to have it! This is a great pedal for such an amazing price. Everything about it is just awsome and more. The ONE AND ONLY downside I could find after many days of playing and experimenting with this pedal was that it slips a tad, a simple cloth under it will fix it.

The B E S T double bass pedal

By Anonymous

from Naperville, IL

Comments about DW 7002PT Double Bass Drum Pedal:

I recently purchased the DW 7002PT Double Bass Drum Pedal( my first double bass pedal), and I was blown away! My friend who has owned double bass drum pedals said it would be hard to get up to speed with one, but THIS pedal is amazing! I can play perfect with it, and it's better than all the others I tried in the GC store. When I first bought it I heard a "chinking" noise, that I thought was the springs, but I checked and it was the bass drum and floor tom shells rubbing against each other. To the point: DW really cranked out a sweet double bass pedal... the best!

nice pedal, HORRIBLE quality

By drummerman

Comments about DW 7002PT Double Bass Drum Pedal:

Ive had this pedal for a few months now. For the first few weeks it was great, I loved it. But after a month or 2, I started having problems with the slave pedal. Nothing big, just annoying. Now the slave beater won't stay on for over 10 beats. It comes loose and the screw connecting the slave to the right pedal always comes off and WILL NOT stay on, no matter how tight you make it. I have had no problems with the single pedal. I have had nothing BUT problems with the slave pedal, so I wouldnt recomend this double pedal. I would recomend the DW 7000 single pedal. If you have to get a double pedal, the Iron Cobra or DW 5000 is what you should get, NOT this.

dw 7000 double bass

By Evan

from Farmington, MI

Comments about DW 7002PT Double Bass Drum Pedal:

Overall you can survive with these pedals. Many people complain that it doesnt have enough power. That is true if you start playing with it right outta the box. If you take time to adjust the tension and bass drum stuff etc. you can get it to be more powerful. Its not that difficult to get up to high speeds with it and they are some pretty decent pedals.

I got this pedal about a week ago and it is pretty good. this pedal has a comfortable feel on the actual pedal. On the other hand it is sort of slow but still a good pedal. if you're looking for a double bass pedal i would recommend this one.

Comments about DW 7002PT Double Bass Drum Pedal:

I was really impressed with this kick pedal. Very smooth and fast, and for the money almost as good as the Tama Iron Cobra double. Can't go wrong, it is very fairly priced.

Good, but not Perfect

By Adam The Drummer

from Boise,ID

Comments about DW 7002PT Double Bass Drum Pedal:

These pedals offer great power and very wide range of playing styles. you can turn down the chain to the second the last hole and push the beater forward to make it very easy for heel toe technique. they are very amazing in versitility and also offer the ability to become 2 single pedals, very nice. the heads are great for metal player because of their beefy weight and decent but not perfect rebound for quick technique. If you are looking for true metal pedals or for heel toe i say axis longboard or iron cobras.

Comments about DW 7002PT Double Bass Drum Pedal:

I was looking for a quality double pedal for a modest price. I found this pedal, bought, and loved it from the start. It's a sturdy pedal with a good feel and dual chains. Mine did develop some rust though. Altogether, this pedal is the best value for your money

DW 7002PT Double Bass Pedal

By Drummer4Radiate

from Bristol, VA

Comments about DW 7002PT Double Bass Drum Pedal:

This pedal has a great feel, it is very smooth and fast. I tried out pearl and an Iron Cobra double bass pedals, the DW 7002PT is better than any of those i think. The DW7002PT is very easy to set up and make adjustments in the middle of a gig if needed. If you are looking for a double bass pedal that is fast and easy on your wallet don't wait, buy the DW700@PT NOW!

Does the Job.

By Atlas

from Reno, NV

Comments about DW 7002PT Double Bass Drum Pedal:

The 7000 series from DW is a great series because it is a huge bang for buck item. I bought this double bass purely as an item to experiment with, so I didn't want to spend lots of cash for it. This was a great find, so I decided to take a chance. The only problem that I saw was that the driveshaft inbetween the two pedals needs to be a.) longer and b.) better designed. You really have to crank down on the hardware so it won't rattle loose. It seems that the factory workers didn't even crank down on some part, either (like the beater). Overall, this product is a very good beginner double bass pedal. If you are experienced with styles of music that require fast drumming and lots of abuse, I recommend you find something a little more durable and heavy duty.

AMAZING DEAL: DW 7000 PT

By EXIT12DRUMMER08

from Reading,OH

Comments about DW 7002PT Double Bass Drum Pedal:

I bought this about 5 months ago after testing it at the local Guitar Center. As soon as I started kicking fast , I knew I had to get it. No one could ask for a better price for a DW. FEATURES: The pedal has a super smooth cam and a double chain. The spings are nice and tight whe you get the pedal. The plates on the bottom are steel. The hoop-clam is easy to reach/small, and you wont hit it when you are playing. The anchors are nice because they stick into carpet and stay. The beater height is easily adjusted. OVERALL: This peadal is a bargain with tons of great accomodastions to it. Dont wait, Buy it now. DO IT!!!!!
