To Drummers, This Pedal many will look at and turn away from. I am writing letting you know its a free floating pedal and fast. I have not played a double bass for this low and this hard quality. DW has been a company around for many years. And I can see why they put so much craftsman work into there products before they release it. I am a fan already of this pedal. The cam is fast, and the consistancies of beats are far better then many other double bass pedals I have played. The quality in the pedal is far surpassed any other brand. Im a big fan of Pearl but I now know i'm a bigger fan for DW

The features, quality, value, and initial experience of playing the pedal were great, that's why I bought it. (this was 3 years ago, so my pedal is actually the previous version, mostly the same except for the single-sided left side bracket) After a while, the feel started to irritate me- the stock beater heads are plenty heavy which was great at first but come back too far even on the pedals strongest spring setting. Even after replacing the beaters with lighter Iron Cobras, the pedal just felt, well, slow. Also, during the first gig, the main beater flew out because the keynut that held it in loosened after 5 minutes of playing. Future gigs saw me tightening it to within an inch of its life. The keynut that held the driveline to the main beater frame was next: It was lost during a gig and never found.Basically, make sure you dig the feel, and try not to play it fast and hard. It doesn't get along with psychobilly, and now I'm dreaming of an Iron Cobra.

A wonderful trinket

By MattieD

Comments about DW 7002PT Double Bass Drum Pedal:

This are some GRAND pedals. Pushing down the lever is silky smooth and very easy. The action is fast and brilliant. They are very versitle and come with a variety of different configurations to suit your playing needs. Both heads hit evenly and at the same consistancy. These pedals are also very durable and built quite tankish-like. I believe they are what you would consider the best value for your money. The only drawback that I can think of is that the pedal deck may get stuck for a moment or two if pulled upwards. Overall, I would definately reccommend these over Iron cobras, pearls, Taye and many other brands.

I got this pedal about a week ago and it is pretty good. this pedal has a comfortable feel on the actual pedal. On the other hand it is sort of slow but still a good pedal. if you're looking for a double bass pedal i would recommend this one.

Pretty awesome

Comments about DW 7002PT Double Bass Drum Pedal:

I've had this pedal for about a year and a half, and so far it hasn't let me down (I'm not a heavy hitter). Nothing has broke on it and it's really smooth. Just sometimes usually every Friday I gotta tighten up my left pedal because it gets a little slow. But other than that I've played 3 shows with em and they have yet to fail me. Good Pedal for what its worth.

dw 7000 double bass

By Evan

from Farmington, MI

Comments about DW 7002PT Double Bass Drum Pedal:

Overall you can survive with these pedals. Many people complain that it doesnt have enough power. That is true if you start playing with it right outta the box. If you take time to adjust the tension and bass drum stuff etc. you can get it to be more powerful. Its not that difficult to get up to high speeds with it and they are some pretty decent pedals.

good for beginers but...

By Thebeast123

Comments about DW 7002PT Double Bass Drum Pedal:

ive had this pedal for maybe a year and its a good pedal but the more and more i play other pedals, the more i want to get rid of this thing. this pedal has alot of drag and its really annoying. you cant do anny fast blasts or annything. im currently saving for the dw 9002 so i can actualy get some speed. on the other hand this is a great beginners pedal. i would recomend this to annyone who wants to get their first double pedal. its great if you want to lead p to getting a new pedal.

Best pedals for the $$$$!!

By Jay Schimming

from Portland, OR

Comments about DW 7002PT Double Bass Drum Pedal:

I have used the following pedals: Tama Iron Cobras, Pearl Eliminators, Yamaha Flying Dragons and many more. These really are the sturdiest strongest pedals out there, below the 8000 and 9000 series. DW has done their homework on what players require from their pedals and if you are going to spend the dough, get these pedals! They will last a lifetime of pounding!

its alright, go for the 5000 though

By SRTSTIRolandz

from New Jersey

Comments about DW 7002PT Double Bass Drum Pedal:

Honestly ive had these for over a month and im going to trde them in for some pearl P2002's or ICs because these really aren't very good. their kind of stiff, lack adjustment, and the foot boards take a while to return to your foot. the slave pedal doesn't hit with the full force of the right, and if you switch from using the slave to the hi-hat pedal the slave gets stuck and it's very annoying. over all its a decent pedal but for the money get something like IC jrs or pearls. But id say just save some more and get the full ICs or eleminators.
