I bought this pedal about 3 months ago. I was very pleased right out of the box. It is very smooth and quiet. Response is spot on! Good price for the quality you get.
Well I haven't played in about 5 years I've been a drummer for over 30 years, last kit i had i used a dw 6000 pedal and liked it very much. I went to guitar after buying a new kit for a pedal I was looking forlooking for the dw 6000 not in stock, so i decided i'd try the 3000, what a difference the 6000 was 20 bucks more and the 3000 did a much better job all around, smoother faster responce built very well, this pedal rocks. I play everything from rock to metal to ballads and this pedal hits the mark every time. Do not hesitate on buying this pedal, well well worth every cent.
I purchased the DW 3000 single kick from the nearest GC store back toward the end of January, 2013. I've been drumming for five and a half years and I'm currently playing in five bands; I've played several different pedals but recently felt compelled to spend more money than I normally would, due to the fact that I play considerably harder than the other drummers in town and I've been through a couple of the cheaper pedals out there. I saw that Dave Grohl played a DW 9000 with Them Crooked Vultures and figured that if it works for him, it'll be more than enough for me-- I have been sorely disappointed. It's been a little over 3 months since the purchase and in that time I've been through 5 or 6 screws (SP704; the piece which connects the chain to the toe end of the pedal). These were easily and happily replaced by the drum department manager at the GC store. However, during the first song of a relatively large show in Denver with one of my bands, the hinge connecting the footboard and heel COMPLETELY SNAPPED. It's been almost two weeks and DW just put the replacement in the mail to me yesterday, as per the Pro Coverage Replacement plan. Come to find out, it's not a pedal, JUST THE HINGE. I've had great experiences with the GC Pro Coverage plan and Sabian Cymbals with my Sabian AAX crash, but this experience with the DW 3000 has been beyond frustrating. I'm rather astonished at the lack of support from DW; I couldn't get ahold of them by phone, and it takes at least one business day to hear back from them via email. Don't get me wrong- while it was working, I thought that this pedal played quite well for the price. The construction overall seemed very solid-- however, if I've learned anything from this, it's that when it comes to making a truly solid pedal, as a manufacturer, you really DO need to sweat the small stuff (like SCREWS and HINGES!) Certainly displeased! I plan on spending a bit more for a real quality pedal next time. I've got other manufacturers in mind, and although I'm still undecided, I know that it will definitely be anyone but DW.
i have a dw 8000 pedal and i had it for 4 years and its still goood....i love the drums sooooooo bad.......but when i look at this 3000 pedal..i was like....wow.... so i got this 3000 Pedal since last month and man this thing feels good...its a great pedal n i loved it..good job DW....yall one of my best brands of all time. LOL.
I walked into my local Guitar Center to pick up a second DW 5000 pedal, but I saw the DW 3000 and thought I would give it a try. Wow, I'm glad I did! The DW 3000 is smooth, adjustable, solidly built, and is very quiet. In my view, there is not a better pedal at this price point. You will not be disappointed with the DW 3000!
