Well, this bass pedal is pretty cool, well made and pretty easy to setup. Looks to be well designed and well built. Very sturdy. Not cheaply put together or made. I like the feel of the pedals, seems to be pretty smooth action. I would like them to come with some better beaters, it's worth the money as is. Two things I found irritating but necessary was the velcro strips on the bottoms of the pedals. Kind of a pain when you set them up on a drum rug but when they are down they stick! The other is the beater adjustments are kind of hard to set the resting position from the head. I can loosen the set screws and adjust the beater but when you start tightening the set screw it wants to walk in the adjustment slot. If they could have knurled the surface to keep this from happening, it would have been much easier to adjust.I plan on swaping out the washers for some knurled washers to fix this. These are just minimal easy fixes, so all in all, a great quality low priced double bass pedal so it's still getting a 5 star rating from me.

As a follow up to my review from a few years ago, I want to say that this pedal is definitely not all I thought it was. When you are doing straight 8th notes with your feet, sometimes the screw that holds the connector on comes loose, so my slave pedal stops working in mid-song (unless you really tighten them down). While trying to adjust my spring tension, one of the bolts snapped clean in half, and one of the parts that holds on my beater is loose. I tried tightening, but I stripped the included allen wrench. Honestly, in this price range, get some Crush pedals, or save up and get some Pearls or DW 5000's; even better, 9000's. This pedal at least does get the job done, and it still feels fine when playing, which is what really counts. But if you want a durable pedal, save up some more money.

Comments about DW 3000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

I've only played drums a couple years. I've been playing guitar and bass for many years. I preface this review with this because I don't poses worldly knowledge of drum kicks All I can tell you is I have two sets of these on two different kits. Are they the fastest?...I don't happen to care, my feet would be more of a limitation than the equipment. I chose these because of price point and build. Experiences with having put together two kits has undeniably lead me to appreciate DW engineering regardless of which drum gear I've bought. I'm often left disappointed when I've tried other manufacturers.
I spent zero time at music stores testing petals. I have played some Pearl stuff. I'm just a guy that appreciates not wasting extra money on a petal. I feel like I got a great product for the money and I don't feel like I compromised despite it being the lowly 3000 series.

Comments about DW 3000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

Nice pedal for the price. I bought it as a traveler pedal to use for shows and rehersals. Only issue is the instruction booklet says it comes standard with spring dampening foam inserts installed in springs. Which upon inspection it does not have them on mine. Has an annoying creaking spring on master side of pedal.

Comments about DW 3000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

Bought this for my husbands B-day (he specifically put it on his Wish List), and he was tickled. Very high quality, heavy duty pedal set with a lot of adjustability. He mainly drums for his own pleasure and to challenge himself, and he's very pleased with this pedal. It took him a bit of adjusting to get everything just right, but now that he's got it tweaked, he loves it.

Comments about DW 3000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

I've got this pedal for 8 months now, and it's the best pedal I had for this price. I've played on Pearl's and Tama's pedal and it was good, but it ain't like the Dw 3002. I'm playing some heavy metal song (Slipknot, Metallica, etc) and I never had any problem with the slave pedal. defently the best choice for this price.

Comments about DW 3000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

I went into Guitar Center fully prepared to buy a set of DW 5000's, but figured I would try these just to see the difference. I was blown away when I actually found it easier to play the 3000's instead. They are much smoother and feel closer to the 9000's in my opinion. The 5000's look and feel like a higher quality pedal, but these actually made me play better. I think these are easily the best pedals in this price range (I tried quite a few before settling on these), and they are even better than a lot of more expensive pedals. I'd say that unless you are willing to drop 500-600 on a double pedal, these are the best you can buy below that price point.

Comments about DW 3000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

The rear tab of the hinge broke on the this pedal the other day, after < one year of use. Always used on a drum rug, at home, playing in bare feet. (ie. Never transported/dropped/abused). New replacement hinge part is only about eleven bills. Pedal plays great; but of bad, weak design, if it's going to keep failing.

I drum to virtually every variation of rock from soft rock to heavy metal. These pedals are very responsive and a good upgrade from my previous pedals, the Pearl 902-Cs. Funny thing is these are actually only slightly more and are double chain compared to the Pearl's single chain, so I would jump straight to these pedals if I were you!
