Well, this bass pedal is pretty cool, well made and pretty easy to setup. Looks to be well designed and well built. Very sturdy. Not cheaply put together or made. I like the feel of the pedals, seems to be pretty smooth action. I would like them to come with some better beaters, it's worth the money as is. Two things I found irritating but necessary was the velcro strips on the bottoms of the pedals. Kind of a pain when you set them up on a drum rug but when they are down they stick! The other is the beater adjustments are kind of hard to set the resting position from the head. I can loosen the set screws and adjust the beater but when you start tightening the set screw it wants to walk in the adjustment slot. If they could have knurled the surface to keep this from happening, it would have been much easier to adjust.I plan on swaping out the washers for some knurled washers to fix this. These are just minimal easy fixes, so all in all, a great quality low priced double bass pedal so it's still getting a 5 star rating from me.

I bought these pedals almost a week ago so I have not spent much time with them but thus far I do not like them. I am not a strong fellow and these pedals are pretty heavy and require some muscle. The only other pedal I've used a $100 PDP so I don't have much to compare to but I like the PDP more. Spring tension is very adjustable, though, which is obviously a plus. The beaters it comes with are very nice as well.

Comments about DW 3000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

I went into Guitar Center fully prepared to buy a set of DW 5000's, but figured I would try these just to see the difference. I was blown away when I actually found it easier to play the 3000's instead. They are much smoother and feel closer to the 9000's in my opinion. The 5000's look and feel like a higher quality pedal, but these actually made me play better. I think these are easily the best pedals in this price range (I tried quite a few before settling on these), and they are even better than a lot of more expensive pedals. I'd say that unless you are willing to drop 500-600 on a double pedal, these are the best you can buy below that price point.

These pedals are awesome. They have amazing features for the price and personally I love the heavy beaters. They give the kick drum a nice big toned sound. Check them out for yourself to see if they are right for you.

These pedals are physically appealing. They feel very sturdy. They are very smooth. These pedals have Velcro and spikes to keep them in place. Even comes with a drum key and a convenient clip to keep the drum key with the pedals. I am very pleased with these pedals. I definitely buy these again. Great for the price.

      PERFECT pedal for beginners.

Comments about DW 3000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

I came home from school today, and, to my delight, found this waiting on my porch. I was exited, and put them together right away. I've had them only a few hours, but they went above and beyond my expectations. Everyone complains that they're heavy, but i think they feel great, and i can get some speed going. These are my first pedals, and i dont even have my first set yet. It's still shipping, and i cant WAIT to get behind them, especially now that i know how GREAT these pedals are. All in all, if you're a beginner looking for a pedal, take it from another beginner; these pedals are one of the best, if not THE best, choices. Definately recomend. Happy rocking guys \m/

      Pretty good pedals

      By Timothy Shater

Comments about DW 3000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

Okay so heres the deal. DW is a good company with great sounding and reliable gear. at times they can be pricey but they do have good stuff. i have owned the DW 3000 for a few months and heres what i have to say Pro: they are very well made and are sturdy as well as an all metal construction. they look nice like professional pedals should. they have a double chain drive as well as the other features that are listed above. for 201 $ they are a good price Cons: the beaters are heavy and that will stop you from going fast as a heavier beater creates longer reaction time thus slowing you down as well as wearing out your feet. i'm am planning to switch to the cobra junior beaters or the iron cobra because they are lighter and have a flat felt surface which i like Feel: these have a pretty good feel but you have to fiddle and adjust them to what you like. they say the settings it comes with is recommended but there's are tons of options. speed: things you need to know. yes the 9000s and 5000s are better because they have extra features like the accelerator that help do they work for you which is why you would need less technique. if you learn the right technique for playing double bass you can go pretty fast. I can easily play play 16th notes and am getting to 32nd. for some reason the screw that attaches the slave pedals comes loose so but yourself extra screws with that blue lock stuff on the teeth of the screws and it will hold. also to avoid your bass drum from slipping put down spikes for maximum hold. all in all with maybe 30 to 40 extra dollars your still spending over 100 dollars less then the 5000s and can get a good deal out of these. if you can get the 5000s go ahead or even the 9000s do what you want but when moneys tight you get the good but less expensive stuff. so im happy with my purchase.
