DW as always did a good job with this pedal, its their low end pedal but don't let that fool you, it has very smooth action and the tension can be adjusted very easily. Also very durable and is a great choice from drummers like me who play a lot of shows.

These pedals are pretty good. Like the person below me said, they're a lower model, but are pretty good for what they're worth. The only problem I have with them is adjustability is very hard to do. I like these pedals because they're good for technical, complex beats, and won't slip if you're trying to do odd rhythms with them, but not the best for being smooth and fast.

begginer pedal!

Comments about DW 2000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

a great begginner pedal.... other than that it is not smooth at all and has terrible response dont waste your money if you are looking for long-term pedals. very unstable at high speeds , lots of play in the shaft. i wouldnt reccomend them for heavy metal, the beaters weigh a ton, there is not very many options on the pedal either

Couldn't Ask For More

By Matt Byquist

Comments about DW 2000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

As a member of a metal band I really needed to look into a double bass pedal. Noticed this one because of its price. However, don't let the price fool you. This is without a doubt the best bang for your buck. The chains are perfectly fine. You really don't need the double chains. The mallets are fine. Just everything about this is an all around fantastic buy! Trust me when I say I'm not gonna be looking into replacing this any time soon, if ever!

Comments about DW 2000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

Great pedals! Very smooth and very fast for being single chain driven pedals...Some of the best drummers in the World use to use single drive pedals and became legends...
All DW pedals come stock with beaters that can be switched around to either felt of plastic impacts side. I like the hard side and use a muffle felt tape on the head (just me).

I've owned the DW high end single bass pedals and needed a double bass pedal for my single bass kit.

I was blown away how fast and smooth these pedals actually are. Anyone complaining they can't get fast action adjusting them are doing something wrong.

These pedals are well worth the price. The single chain stays in place as long as it's set up properly. Mine has never come off ever by playing.
I haven't had any issues with them at all, no noises or squeaks. They are the go to double bass pedal by DW for the price.

I think DW makes some of the best quality drums and hardware equipment in the business. Don't let the price fool you these are excellent made pedals and a better value.

      Great for the price

      By Kevin Carter

      from Nashville

Comments about DW 2000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

These are my 3rd set of double pedals, so let me start off by saying these feel very solid. My other pedals felt more flemsy, where these feel planted to the ground. Adjustability is decent on these pedals, of course for the price you shouldn't expect anything more, so not really a complaint. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is for one, there's a little plastic piece on the right pedal under the board that snapped clean off while I was setting them up. Didn't really affect the pedals themselves, but still, something broke before I even hit the kick drum. Second, if you use the heel-toe method, these pedal might not be for you. I only wear a size 9, and the board is just not long enough for me to do heel-toe comfortably. If you don't use that technique, don't worry about it, these will be great. If you're iffy, definitely try them before buying. Other than that, these are great starter double pedals, I'd definitely recommend them

      Disappointing

      By Emory Rogers

      from West Palm Beach, Florida

Comments about DW 2000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

I had always heard great reviews about dw but this pedal came up short. First of all the beaters it came with were not felt, the were plastic on both sides; basically unusable. The beaters were soooo heavy I had no feel. This is just me but I play barefoot a lot and they were very sharp and uncomfortable on my feet. The good side of these are that they are really sturdy, they feel like they could last years.

This is really the only piece of DW equipment I don't like. Their heavy and it's hard to get to high speeds with these pedals. I recommend these pedals for people who are starting to learn how to play with double pedals but if you have been playing double bass for awhile I recommend anything pearl.

        DW quality, great value

        By Steve LeBano

        from New Jersey

Comments about DW 2000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

Buy them before DW realizes what a steal these bad boys are! They're a great investment for the intermediate drummer and would make a great backup set for the working pro on a budget.
They've got all your basic features, and the adjustable beater angle is a huge plus in this price range. A few of my friends have other pedals in this price range and we unanimously agree that the DW 2000's are the best of the lot. You're not going to achieve insane levels of speed on these guys, but if you've got that talent, then i'm sure you know that already and you've already got a set of $600+ pedals at home.
All materials used on this product live up to DW's typical high quality. Even though it only has a single chain design and is noticably less beefy than the 3000 series pedals, it feels super solid and I wouldn't hesitate to put them through some "strenuous" use.
In my opinion, they're the best value in pedals under $200 and would make a welcome addition to any drummer's arsenal.

        Its ok I guess

        By Will Strantz

        from South Bend IN

Comments about DW 2000 Series Double Bass Drum Pedal:

I have had multiple problems with a small screw that keeps coming out of the bar that connects the two pedals together. I eventually lost this small part when at a gig and luckily I had pro coverage. HOWEVER, pro coverage did not give me enough money to buy the exact same pedal that I had. This pedal WAS decent for the price, but it did slip a lot even with the carpet gripping material on the bottom of the pedal. 1 star for the pedal breaking down on a few occasions and for this pro coverage bs.
