Drum Workshop, Inc. guarantees that DW Collector's Series® Drums are free of material and workmanship defects for a period of six (6) years from the original purchase date. Drum Workshop will repair or replace defective products free of charge to the original purchaser upon delivery of the product to an authorized DW Drums dealer. Proof of purchase and status as the original purchaser are required for warranty coverage. DW's maximum liability pursuant to this warranty is limted to the monetary value of the product that is the subject of the warranty claim. DW Pedals and Hardware Warranty:
For a period of five years from the date of purchase, Drum Workshop, Inc. guarantees the original owner, when presented with proof of purchase, that all 9000, 5000 and 7000 Series Bass Drum Pedal cast parts are free of material and manufacturing defects. This warranty is limited to cast parts only; such as the base casting, footboard, beater hub, sprocket, heel and cam casting. This warranty does not include moving parts; such as the spring assembly, beater ball, radius rod, hex shaft, ball bearings, etc. If under normal playing conditions parts covered in this limited five year warranty fail, they will be replaced at no charge. Return the pedal to your authorized DW dealer or, if there is not a dealer in your area, contact DW direct. DO NOT send pedal to DW without first receiving a Return Authorization Number. I love this drum. I have played a DW Collector's Series kit for many years and have always preferred Maple. After checking out this kit at GC I was amazed at the warm tones of the Bamboo/Birch and had to have the Enviro Kit. I added the 8 and the 16 inch and now it seems that I spend more time on it than my Maple kit. DW is simply the best there is and this new addition to their lineup only cements that thought in my mind. I use them for all genre's and am completely satisfied with their performance, not to mention how easy they are to tune. If you are willing to give Birch a try you can't go wrong with these drums.
I have 7 of the 9 ECO-X kit pieces. Yes I call my kit Seven of Nine, and she's just as sexy!!! The ECO-X's are the most amazing drum kit I have ever played. Tuning is precise, accurate, and stable. I tuned them, then played for 3 months on them without tuning again. I got the additional pieces, so I re-tuned using a Drum Dial, but found the kit to only have dropped it's tuning down by an insignificant amount. The sound it makes is like a warm blanket of bass and tom! Yet with the right strike, and a slight use of a rim shot, you can get a bright accent that rounds the sounds out like no other kit out there. Don't get this kit, because I want to be one of the lucky few who own one! Get this kit if you want some of the best DW has to offer!
My best friend just got one of these a couple days ago, and let me try it out. As you would expect, it's gonna be pretty godd because it's by dw, and it was. Nice sound, and really good price. If you're looking for a single tom, put this one on the top of your list.
