  • Another great piece from DW.

As reviewed by ----- on 7/12/2010

As usual, Dw makes another great product. I love every thing about this stand due to its durability. I have a 12" and a 14" tom mounted to this along with a rather heavy cymbal and I have never had any balancing issues or falling etc. EVER! Also, the ball joints haven't moved once from the position i set them in several months ago at the beginning of the tour. Trust me, this stand can take some serious abuse. Very quality product DW!

  • This Thing Has Roots!

As reviewed by Travis Corwell on 6/28/2011

I have my 10" and 12" birch toms along with a DW SM934S Boom Arm holding a 16" crash mounted to this stand. I don't play super hard but the crash sees some heavy blows and the stand never budges. The tom mounts are especially rigid. The wing-nuts are bigger than normal so you can really torque the L-arms down. You could settle for the less expensive 3000 series double tom mount but it's a few pounds shy of the 9000 and that weight at the bottom really helps. Plus, if you take care of your gear you'll have this stand forever! DW's quality is just unmatched and the 9000 series is no exception

  • Rock solid stand

As reviewed by Berserker on 4/8/2008

I have 10" and 12" toms along with a Pearl 3 way clamp with 2 Pearl booms and my Sabian AAX 18" and 19" Metal crashes and that stand is STURDY. I hit hard, Pro-Mark 2B sticks on stage and 5Bs at rehersals and I have NO issues. It's a bit pricey of a stand but I got past that when I compared it to other brand L-rod mounts. When you're on stage the last thing you want is to worry about a hardware failure.
