I purchased this piece to support an auxillary hi hat. Sometimes that hat gets hit pretty hard and it does not budge thanks to this calmp. It is sturdy enough to mount a small tom off of it. Definently the quality that you would expect from drum workshop. Remember...you get what you pay for.
I've been a working drummer for over 25 years. It seems that some of these stages are getting smaller... I needed to consolidate space without giving up reliability. As always I did my research and found that the DW 776 dog bone was the best way to go. I added it to my DW 9700 stand and added a DW 934 arm. Space saver and so solid. I have this set up on either side of me, so I comfortably have 4 crash without hogging the stage. I personally dig the heavier DW stands and hardware. I believe that peace of mind during a show is paramount. Never any light weight candy azz hardware malfunctions here. Some drummers piss and moan about the weight of the hardware, as I welcome it... Come on guys...we're drummers, man up a little...
I bought this clamp to hold a cymbal arm off another cymbal stand. this arm has multiple adjustments so i can put it anywhere on my set. this arm is also longer than most available, so it fits very well with other cymbal stands. if you are looking for an arm that will hold anything you can attach to it thisis the one you should buy.
