Featuring a host of refinements and upgrades, the legendary 5000 line features a choice of drive systems, aluminum hex shafts, pedal plates and linkages, dual side adjusting hoop clamp, 101 two-way beater, and built in spurs. These pedals can be customized to fit the needs of any player.
Additionally, the Accelerator™ (AD3) drive system offers an eccentric motion that creates an indirect relationship between the sprocket and the footboard, increasing the velocity of the pedal by shortening the length of the stroke. It is recommended for situations that require increased speed and sensitivity. A single cast post on the remote pedal will make movement between the hi-hat and remote double pedal more fluid. Additionally, the Turbo™ (TD3) concentric drive system maintains a direct relationship between the sprocket and the footboard to provide a solid, powerful, consistent feel and response.
Supported by a footboard that's a dream for heel-down technique players, this pedal will accommodate the heaviest hitter or satisfy the progressive percussionist.

Drum Workshop will repair or replace defective products free of charge to the original purchaser upon delivery of the product to an authorized DW Drums dealer. Proof of purchase and status as the original purchaser are required for warranty coverage. I bought this pedal long ago looking for an upgrade from my Sound Percussion double kick, and fell-in-LOOOVE!Previous to purchasing these, I heard a lot about them, so I thought I'd give'em a go. They looked like heavy duty pedals on sight. Had some resistance, but once I figured out how to adjust the spring tension they came alive. Responded to my feet well; which is what I need in a drum pedal since I have cerebral palsy. It also came with counter-weights, toe guards, magnets(don't know what for),and hex keys. My only problem is the velcro on the bottom of the pedals; It's annoying. I have to fight with them just to remove them, or adjust them to the bass drum. I understand DW's logic, but that was just a stupid idea. Other than that, love them. Highly recommend them.
