Lo-Rider stainless steel bass strings are roundwound and constructed on a hexagonal core. They provide more depth of tone and are a bit stiffer than Hi-Beams. Bass players who are into slapping, popping, and tapping will love the high end and depth of Lo-Riders. The slight bit of stiffness makes these strings very accurate when playing harmonics. Great consistency and great string-to-string balance are DR hallmarks. Fits scale lengths up to 37-3/4".

i've never really been a string researcher. i buy a set, use them for a gig and toss 'em. but these, i LOVE! made a huge difference in my tone. just like it says, "bright high end and great depth". i only give them 4 stars because like i said, i'm no string guy. there may be something even better out there and if i use all 5 stars here, where does that leave me if i find something better?
I bought these strings after I broke the E string on my Ibanez GSR200 just after around two weeks of buying it. So, Either I'm too hardcore, or just stupid:p. These strings have an awesome, neat sound. No buzzing or any other unwanted sound coming from them. Really good strings.
