DR NEON Multi-Color Coated Light N' Heavey Electric Strings are super-bright, color-coated strings that sound clear, bright and musical. Players love the bright NEON colors and their remarkable sound. Super bright in daylight and under stage lighting, DR NEON is 100% black light reactive and glow strongly under UV lighting. NEONs are the first coated string to make no apologies. While Neons last as long as a coated string should (three to four times as long as uncoated strings) they sound as good, or better, than uncoated strings.

Comments about DR Strings Hi-Def NEON Multi-Color Coated Light N' Heavy Electric Guitar Strings (9-46):
Although I am no novice, I have had a guitar in my hands for over 30 years, I decided to give these strings a try. I own a Jem Swirl with the exact same colors of these DR Neons. Thought it would be a nice added touch to have 'colored' strings on my Jem. Yes, it made my guitar look cool. No, they did not sound all too great. They had almost a slight muffled sound to them, i guess from the Neon coating. And that's just it...they looked cool. After about an hour of extreme shredding, the coating started to come off the strings. I guess I play too hard. Lol. It seems as if these strings are good just for one gig. Unless you don't mind the color coating peeling away if you plan on keeping them on your guitar. Needless to say, I had these strings on my guitar for one day. Yes, one day, before I switched back to my usual EVH strings. For this price, I would look for another brand of strings...just not these Neon's. Again, unless you would like to give them a shot for the unusual color scheme, then go for it. But as a everyday, normal usage guitar string, I am not sold. I will not chose to buy these strings again.
