Overview

The first thing you notice with DR Drop-Down Tuning Guitar strings is how stable they are. DDT strings maintain their intonation at lower tunings far better than other strings you may have played or heard. Players say DR DDT guitar strings are so stable it is almost eerie.

Now you can "stand and deliver" in-tune notes at lower pitches that are clean and clear-plus you can drop tune with confidence and accuracy. You'll be surprised how few adjustments you'll make to change tunings and will be even more surprised how well DR Drop-Down Tuning strings lock into tune.

Experienced players comment: "Tuned down, I was never able to play a favorite riff. It always came out muddy and garbled. Now it is crystal clear. I am going to record it and give it to my bandmates, who could not hear it before."

DR DDT strings deliver far more than just heavy gauges-they deliver impeccable tone.

Mega Heavy gauges: 13-17-22-42-56-65.

Awesome for low tuning!

By Reza

from seattle

these sound incredible at the B and A range. Particularly A because they are so thick. I dont play in F but they still hold tune and tension amazingly. They sound sharp and are very lively strings. Im going to try the 10-60 next week. the 65 gauge is a little to big for versatility. I plan on buying a third guitar and that will have these strings designated to it.

Best Strings.

By Jon Dasopatis

from Clearwater

Until a Guitar Center employee told me about these strings I was always complaining about how bad my previous strings were at playing in drop tunings. With these strings I tune to B standard and they sound great. They also stay in tune all real well!!! Best strings out there!

great strings but little too thick

By Michael Cottrell

from Louisville, KY

I love these strings and dropped tuning but they do hurt like hell. They feel comfortable for drop B and after they've been worn out and broken in good I can tolerate drop C but NEVER drop D or standard tuning. They callous the hell out of my fingers. I do still recommend them if you want to play in drop B because you couldn't ask for better in drop B and they have the perfect gauge distortion. If you like Slipknot and 5FDP then these are the perfect strings for you, but no tuning higher

Awesome Strings!

By Raymond Van Lenten

from San Francisco

Man these are awesome but I've never snapped so many strings in my life! Only get 3 weeks to a month's use... Ibanez RGA7QM, 26.5 inch scale. I string these with the 65 on low B and so on, replace the 22 with a 30, the 17 with a wound 18 or 20, and add a 10. Tuned Db-Bb-Gb-Db-Ab-Db-A high to low

Spider's Bite

By Joshua Hickman

from Chattanooga, Tn.

All of the claims are true for these strings. they are clear, thick, and consistent! I have 25.5 scale guitar and it seems to have perfect tension from B down to F#! They rarely go out of tune and should be recommended for any one that thrives on the low end.
