I have been playing bass for over 15 years, and have tried various stainless, nickel, and nickel-plated steel strings. These strings are superior. They do emphasis the fundamental, which brings clarity to each note you play. They are nickel-plated with a steel core, so they are easier on your fingers (and frets) than stainless strings, and don't loose their brilliance as fast as stainless strings, but aren't as dull sounding as pure nickel strings. Great for playing finger style, slapping, or tapping. This is the next generation bass string. It is worth trying yourself.
Love these strings. As advertise, more fundamental/less overtones. If ya wanna know how these 'Bad Boys' sound, locate a Grand Piano & hit E-A-D-G ... that's the sound. Blues, Jazz, Country, Rock n Roll ... plug in 'clean' & it's like yer the left hand on the piano (feel free to add a bitto 'dirt' or 'growl' from there). All 'bottom-dwellers' should demo a set o 'Jonas'.
