  • Amazing, long-lasting strings

    These strings are the best acoustic guitar strings I?ve ever used. They have a moderately bright tone, and sound really nice and responsive when they?re new. With a little age, they balance out their sound and become really warm. In all cases, they just sound amazing until they?re several months old. Compare that with the uncoated versions, which last for a day or two before becoming rusty to the point of unplayability. The coating has absolutely no effect on the sound, other than extending the life of the sound magnificently, and that?s all you ever need.

  • Finally a coated string for spruce tops!

    Tired of annoyingly bright extended-life/coated strings destroying the beautiful, warm, full sound of your Martin spruce-top? This is the first coated string that warms to a great, clear yet full, tone within an hour of stringing. These strings offer a nice balance between the incredibly warm sounds you get with standard Martin SP's, and the clarity of other coated strings, like Elixir. I wouldn't use this on a cedar-top guitar, since it's quite warm. Responding to an earlier review about the Schecter S1, these are acoustic guitar strings. They work great for me.

  • Not good for my purposes

    I often strum on my Shecter S1 elite (Marshall Practice amp) and with these I was snapping strings left and right. I literally broke 3 strings in ONE month. Do NOT buy these strings if you strum a lot. Now if you chicken pick, these are perfect.
