These strings aren't very good, in my humble opinion. They are really "sticky": when I stop a note, then oh-so-gingerly remove my finger from the string, it sounds again, no matter what I do! I don't have this problem with almost any brand of regular bass string. They look cool, sure, but they don't play very well.
the sounds nice and crisp, the coating dosent effect tone, and if ur a bass player with little money invest in these strings, ive had a pair on my gretch for about 2 years now i play about 2 -5 hours a day with shows every week, thats a lot of playing, they feel nice and smooth unlike average roundwound strings they also dont shred up your fingers like a grinder,
