Works great in my studio

Comments about DR Pro Quick Release Tripod Microphone Stand:

I didn't add a boom to this like the other reviewer and my stand has been fine for over a year. It's got the Manley cardoid mic (black/red) which is fairly heavy plus a pop filter and an attachment hook for headphones when they are not in use. The grip for adjusting the stand up and down feels good, works great, takes just the right amount of squeeze to adjust. For the price it's a great deal. Feels more sturdy than most stands at this price point.

Comments about DR Pro Quick Release Tripod Microphone Stand:

As much as I want to like this item, I just can't because of the adjustment handle keeps breaking either during the shipping process or after using it one or two times. The first time, the adjustment part broke off during shipping so MF was nice enough to send me another one. However, though the handle was intact, the plastic piece that keeps the trigger from protruding back broke off. It still works fine when holding a mic. I will not buy this one again since it may not last too long. Lesson learned.

Comments about DR Pro Quick Release Tripod Microphone Stand:

I love the sturdiness of the stand for it's light weight. However, after a few months of moderate use (4-6 times per month) the quick release is failing and not able to hold in an up position. The movable stem constantly slips down under the weight of my mic. Frustrating after using it a few short months.

Comments about DR Pro Quick Release Tripod Microphone Stand:

The mic stand is very sturdy . I have a SE studio mic with a isolator filter pack attached to it, making the stand top heavy. We have bumped the mic and the stand never mover. It solid! The quick release handle is a plus and a minus. The minus is every time I move the stand I grab the quick release button and it works well. You can be left holding the top part only.

      Quick Release Tripod Mic Stand

      By Dana Russell

      from Chattanooga, TN

Comments about DR Pro Quick Release Tripod Microphone Stand:

After having used heavy weighted base stands for years that always seemed to strip out the threads where it connects to the base after a year or so, I consider the tripod base a major upgrade. The added plus of not banging my shins with a heavy mic base at least once a program (yes, I am clumsy) is great. These also store easily in a speaker stand bag I purchased from Musicians Friend that would hold up to 4 of these stands.
Love the quick release, one handed adjustment and the lightweight tripod base easy to handle on stage and easy to pack for traveling. My favorite style of mic stand.

This is the 2nd one I've purchased and will purchase another one soon
Seems sturdy. Been useing one for only 6 months so can't tell much about durability but I've had zero problems with mine.
      Great stand for the money.

I was using this in my studio because i thought the pistol would be better than the screw on the other mic stands but after about a month it didnt stay up anymore it always fell maybe because iwas using a boom with it but still it should be strong enough to hold a boom and a mic hope this review helps
