Overview

The return of an icon. One of John D'Angelico's most famed designs is back. The New Yorker Master Builder is a single cutaway, fully hollow work of art originally conceived in 1936. A custom DA-102B floating mini-humbucker designed by ThroBak allows every inch of the carved European spruce top to be heard vividly. Harkening back to the Art-Deco aesthetic synonymous with the D'Angelico name, the New Yorker Master Builder features 13-ply Vintage Celluloid binding, creating a striking frame for its exceptional shape. Named for the city D'Angelico calls home, the New Yorker is a symbol of world-class guitar-making. Includes hardshell case.

Cons

    Best Uses

Comments about D'Angelico Master Builder NY New Yorker Hollowbody Electric Guitar:

I bring this across town for my lessons twice a week, and boy has this been a reliable choice! It is very durable, which is something I demand from my guitars. In the first week I can not tell you how many times this got dropped, knocked into things, and tossed around. As far as tone and feel, I really can't tell you much but my teacher says I picked a good one. I mostly use this for grunge music and nu metal, and so far it has worked very well. I plan to put on a bunch of stickers and do my own heavy relic to fit in more as far as looks go, but just for learning this is perfect.

I don't play guitar. I bought this to strap to my back when I drive my motorcycle around town. Chicks think I'm cool.
