Overview

The brand new Brooklyn (SD-400) has a voice all its own. Its rich, dreadnought shout is propelled by a sapele back, sides, and a solid Sitka spruce top. The Brooklyn's mahogany neck is capped with a rosewood fingerboard where block mother-of-pearl inlays add the class of a fresh pair of wingtips. Brass bridge pins help the Brooklyn sing, providing maximum resonance. Along with the rest of the D'Angelico acoustic family, the Brooklyn is amp-ready with the Fishman INK-4 onboard preamp and pickup system, complete with built-in tuner.

Comments about D'Angelico Brooklyn Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

i had this delivered to guitar center because ive had bad luck ordering guitars online.
1st the pick guard was covering up outer inlay line around cutout hole.theres 3 and on bottom can only see 2.looks cheesy.pic on line shows all 3 lines not covered bye pickgaurd
2nd action is very high to the point when i played up the neck it was buzzing frets bad.ive played 30 years so im not weak fingered and the neck was a lil crooked.i understand different climate
3rd the finish on face of guitar was horrible.stain job was nasty.im a wood worker and know a bad stain. job.it wasn't grain of wood or laquer at all.looked like a kid did it.
4th battery was dead for tuner....new guitar...new battery?guitar center tech replaced.thanks
5th strings were not evenly spaced i tried to fix by hand and was not happy.
6th inlay around outer guitar was ivory colored around neck it was white and did not match.

Everything about this guitar is outstanding...from the ornate, detailed construction to the rich and resonating sound. Even came with a very nice hard case. Required very little setup right out of the box.

Comments about D'Angelico Brooklyn Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I got a great deal on this guitar for cyber Monday, but even at full price it would have been a great deal. Sounds, plays and feels as nice as acoustics that are $1500 and up. Very solid build and beautiful finish (the pics don't do it justice). Very happy customer here!

Comments about D'Angelico Brooklyn Dreadnought Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar whenever it went on sale, and I have to say it was one of the best purchases I've made. The guitar is beautiful and looks even better in person. The classic D'Angelico headstock looks amazing on it, along with the rest of the unique touches added to it. The gloss-finished body is constructed very well and seems pretty durable. The guitar shipped not needing much setup and basically just needed to be tuned and it was ready. The action wasn't too high and I felt comfortable playing it.

As for the sound, this guitar has a unique tone to it. It has a very bright sound and low-ends don't really resonate as much. However, it still sounds great and is a wonderful addition to any collection. The FIshman preamp is cool as well and looks very sleek. For the price, I think this guitar is well worth it.
