    D'Andrea 351 picks---a winner!

Comments about D'Andrea 351 Vintage Designer Celluloid Picks - Assorted Pearloid - 1 Dozen:

I found one of these picks at a local venue that I play at?it sat in a container with many others that I had for many months. By chance I picked it up tonight and gave it a play?this is an awesome pick! When I saw the name on it I thought it was a personalized name on a pick; then I did some research and found out that this company was the first one to manufacture celluloid picks, way back in 1922! I like the thickness(heavy) and especially the rounded tip; it gives smooth tone and is easy to hold. I looked up the style(the 351) and placed an order right away. I've only got one now, but I cant' wait to get 12 more?these are great picks!

Comments about D'Andrea 351 Vintage Designer Celluloid Picks - Assorted Pearloid - 1 Dozen:

I don't even use this particular shape (351) of picks, but every guitar player is a pick collector, and D'Andrea is one of the oldest manufacturers of celluloid picks. This particular shape was made popular by D'Andrea in the 1930s as "the Nick Lucas pick" and was sold from hanging cards that featured a likeness of the great Mr. Lucas, himself. Old Nick's picks were not multi-colored like these, but were the original tortoise-shell pattern - and D'Andrea offers those as well in a similar group of twelve picks in a metal box with the same sliding lid.

D 'Andrea 351 picks‰Û_.not as good as the previous design.

    By GARY

Comments about D'Andrea 351 Vintage Designer Celluloid Picks - Assorted Pearloid - 1 Dozen:

I ordered the 351 D'Andrea picks(I had one of the older ones with the not-so-pointed tip). The new ones have a more pointed tip. WHY did you do this? The previous design was great?you messed with success! The jury is out on the new 'pointed' design of the D'Andrea picks?not sure if I will buy them again.
