EXP44C Copper Composite Classic Guitar Strings provide longer life and increased durability coupled with the brightness, clarity and sensitivity you've come to expect from D'Addario extra hard strings.
Here is how it works: An ultra-fine layer of EXP coating is bonded to the phosphor bronze wrap wire which is then wound onto the hex-shaped core wire. The result is a built-in barrier against the corrosion and wear that can quickly sap the life out of your strings and your sound. And since the EXP coating is cross-linked to the wrap wire prior to winding, the strings sound fresh and bright. New-string tone lasts 3 to 4 times longer than traditional guitar strings.
D'Addario is the world's largest manufacturer of strings for musical instruments. Many top guitarists won't play any other brand. Regardless of your playing style, D'Addario has a set that's right for you.

Comments about D'Addario EXP44C Coated Extra Hard Classical Guitar Strings:
I purchased these strings from a local Guitar Center(On Ventura), accidently. I was looking for Hard Tension, but I was given the Extra Hard Tension by mistake. I didn't check until I was about to restring the guitar at home, but it worked to my advantage. The strings are great, I don't believe I'll ever use a lower tension string. Surprisingly, they broke in quickly compaired to my other D'Addarios, so I was playing faster. The sound really brought out the best my student model Yamaha could get, and lots of volume. Due to the higher tension, they stay in tune for longer periods, especially the low-E string so tuning by Harmonics is always an option without a digital tuner to get that root note. The only downside would be Legatos are harder to bring out because of the tension, but they really build the durability in your fingers. Playing any other tension becomes is easier, and a lot noticable. The strings themselves are also solid, it's been a while and there's no visible damage to them. The silver has rubbed off though. I don't think snapping is an issue.
