EXP Coated Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings provide longer life and increased durability coupled with the brightness, clarity and sensitivity you've come to expect from D'Addario strings. Here is how it works: An ultrafine layer of EXP coating is bonded to the phosphor bronze wrap wire, which is then wound onto the hex-shaped core wire. The result is a built-in barrier against the corrosion and wear that can quickly sap the life out of your strings and your sound. And since the EXP coating is cross-linked to the wrap wire prior to winding, the strings sound fresh and bright. New-string tone lasts 3 to 4 times longer than traditional guitar strings.
D'Addario is the world's largest manufacturer of strings for musical instruments. Many top guitarists won't play any other brand. Regardless of your playing style, D'Addario has a set that's right for you.

I have played guitar for 4+ years and if your into latin rythms(songo, salsa, bossa nova) or pop ( micheal jackson) these are the right strings give a good and nice tone. the only thing i dont like about these strings is that after two weeks they start to lose there nice tone.
These strings really do perform. They last a good while and hold up too. Even after some pretty heavy playing they still have some outstanding tone. It can be hard to find well balanced strings and with so many different options out there it can be pretty exhausting to find the right ones. To me, these are the right strings.
My favorite acoustic guitar strings at this time. Well balanced sound, play relatively easy, and last reasonably long.
they have a nice warm feeling in the sound, but when moving fingers up and down neck it screechs very loudly and gets annoying. I would get elixers, unless your into that kind of thing, but heed my words its very obnoxious.
I have been playing for about 30 yrs now and I can truly say these are some of the best quality strings I have ever used. The tonal quality is simply excellent.
I love the EXP series and these strings are no exception. They have very nice tone that seems to last for a decent amount of time. I would say they have to be changed after 3 - 4 weeks of a decent amount of playing. The only reason I give them 4 stars is because the tone isnt there. There is a significant difference from the 12 gauge strings. If you want a less rich tone for "whispy" strumming then these are what you want. But I like a beefier tone, so the 12's are better if you want individual strings to stand out more versus just strumming chords.
