EXP Coated Phosphor Bronze Strings provide longer life and increased durability coupled with the brightness, clarity and sensitivity you've come to expect from D'Addario acoustic guitar strings. Here is how it works: An ultra-fine layer of EXP coating is bonded to the phosphor bronze wrap wire which is then wound onto the hex-shaped core wire. The result is a built-in barrier against the corrosion and wear that can quickly sap the life from your strings and your sound. And since the EXP coating is cross-linked to the wrap wire prior to winding, the strings sound fresh and bright. New-string tone lasts 3 to 4 times longer than traditional guitar strings.
D'Addario is the world's largest manufacturer of strings for musical instruments. Many top guitarists won't play any other brand. Regardless of your playing style, D'Addario has a set that's right for you.

Put these on my Ovation just last week. Best sounding strings I've had on an acoustic. Will pick up another set for the Martin.
I was using stock strings (on my Ibanez acoustic-electric) until I got these, and after going to the trouble to switch them out, I wish I hadn't. The top two strings are excellent -- I'm probably keeping those -- the middle two are okay, but the bottom two are terrible. They're metallic and steely, where the strings that came with my guitar were warm and resonant. I'm probably trying some Martins next. If I were you, I'd look somewhere else.
I have used this set of strings on my 12-string guitar for 30 years and now using them on my Guild 6-string guitar. I have been playing guitar for 43 years. And have been teaching for 2 years. I am very happy to have these strings on my guitars. I believe that D'Addario is the best strings to use for all guitars. I tell my students to use them. Thank you, Larry
I have been playing guitar and bass for 34 years. I have always been loyal to Ernie Ball and GHS boomer strings until I tried D'Addario. I tried the coated acoustic EXP10 strings because the cost was so much less than the Elixirs I use on my Alvarez AJ60, a jumbo concert with maple sides and spruce top. Alvarez ships this instrument with Elixirs and after trying my usual Ernie Ball acoustics, I went back to Elixirs. Not again. The D'Addario coated feel better, sound better and last longer. And they cost less. These coated strings have great volume and clarity. I have no idea why, but the Elixirs I have used sound better on some guitars than others. I don't know if the same is true of the D'Addario coated strings because this is my first experience with them. I would recommend trying the EXP coated without hesitation. In fact, all the D'Addario products have performed well for me and I use them on my Strat, SG, Hamer Special, PRS bass, P-bass and others. I still like Ernie Ball, but they just don't have the clarity or last like D'Addario.
This was my first time re-stringing my guitar, with these strings it was very easy and painless. They sound amazing and are very good to play with. Would defiantly buy again.
These strings are the best 80/20 extra light strings out there. They sound great and last forever. My only problem with them is the price but you do get what you pay for.
