I have used D'Addario strings for years. They are the only strings I let near any of my guitars, whether they be Gretsch, Fender, or Gibson. They have better tone and much better durability than any other brand of strings I've ever tried. I usually use them for about 3 months of heavy usage before my zombie skin chokes out the tone. I mainly play Texas-blues style hard rock, and it includes huge (2+ step) bends and me picking much harder than I should. In 10 years of using D'Addario's, I've had one break on me, and it was 6 months old. The other day, I found a pack that had been in storage with a Jackson I never use for 5 years, and I put them on my Strat. They were just as good as a fresh pack! If you're thinking about buying a set of D'Addario's, do it. You won't regret ;).

The strings do not bend anywhere near as easily as Ernie Ball strings of the same gauge. Not only that, but the break more easily. I had one break after only two months just on a full-step bend. I was very disappointed, especially because my guitar has a Floyd Rose tremolo. Also, the strings don't feel or nice or have as much sustain as the Ernie Balls, compared side to side on nearly identical guitars (Schecter syn Custom and Hellraiser C-1 FR). Just go with the Ernie Balls. They go on sale quite often, and are better in every aspect.

These are the best!

By Phoenix1342689

from Undisclosed

These strings are the best strings I have ever played on! I push these things to limit and mostly over it, but i have never had one break. I replace them every so often, and fills my heart with joy when I do. No other strings have made me so happy to play guitar than these, since they are very flexible and do great even with down tuning. Thank you very much, D'Addario.

My Favorite String

By DDDD

from NJ

D'Adarrio regular gauge strings are my favorite strings to work with. They have a great bright tone on standard E tuning, and create a great tone on dropped D and C tuning...with no string slack!!! I don't think i'd use any other string than D'Addario 10's!!!

Awesome strings!

By dai

These are the best electric strings i've ever used. My band exclusively plays d'addarios, and they've treated us well. You can wail on these, play them all day, and they'll still sound just as bright as before. Great strings!

Smooth

I only got these strings when I heard Billy Martin used them. That was a long time ago. I never break these things, through tapping, bending, and whatever you could do to them. They're the best, and they feel practically brand-new when you put them on - unlike any other strings I've tried. BUY THEM NOW!

Amazing Strings

By jiwojwoeri

from pittsburgh, pa

I have been only been playing guitar for about 6 months now, but I can honestly say that I will probably never use any strings but D'Addario. I have been using the super lights for about 3 months. Today I decided to move up to the lights. These strings are amazing. I have them on my Strat and they sound great. I have never had a D'Addario string break on me. Buy these strings>

Average Strings

By Jose

from South Bend, Indiana

I bought these strings looking for something other than Ernie Ball or Dean Markely. These strings had pros and cons to them. One of the pros is that these strings have so much more tone that Ernie Ball strings after playing them for a long time. But the cons were that they untuned very easily. I found myself tuning the guitar twice a day. Another problem I had with these strings was that the strings don't come in little baggies like the Ernie's. I was happy with these strings, but I wasn't impressed. Great tone, though.
