Comments about D'Addario EPS600 ProSteels Jazz Medium Electric Guitar Strings:

These strings are what I was looking for. If you're unsure by the "Jazz" title or the other reviews just aren't reassuring you that if you LOVE to play in Drop G-Drop B or A# or anything like that, I would definitely recommend you get these strings.

My old strings were about a medium-light set of strings from Dean Markley I believe and they had intonation problems, my G string would NOT stay in tune consistently and I would have to tune it a bit flat to sound right on my guitar. My B string also suffered quite a bit from this. I also had ofcourse the age-old wobbly sound from my strings banging all over every time I strummed an open note.

This set of strings completely fixed that issue as well! So bottom line is; If you love to play Breaking Benjamin, Wage War, Crown the Empire, Suicide Silence, any bands notorious for their low drop tunings, this is for you! Also if you're into making your own music in these low tunings, these strings are also for you as I've come up with a few riffs myself already haha..

    My Tone Search Is Over

Comments about D'Addario EPS600 ProSteels Jazz Medium Electric Guitar Strings:

I've been trying to find the tone of my guitar hero, years gone by. He used a Strat, so I got a Strat. Then I got the pickups that emulated his sound. Then a solid maple neck, locking tuners, down to the mint green pick guard,(purely cosmetic), along with the amp and the effects, and along the way 15 different strings, sizes, brands, flat wounds half rounds. Then I tried some bright round wounds, that was close, then I tried the Pro Steels ESP600. These strings are super bright, round wounds, and never have I heard such a change in tone from one set of strings to the next. So if you have ever heard of Hank Marvin's trademark tone on "Apache", from way back in 1959, these strings will get you close, if not spot on, to the early tunes of "The Shadows". So if you want some bite with a lot of twang, try these strings. My search is over.

    Blues purist, Heavy Metal, Rock....

Comments about D'Addario EPS600 ProSteels Jazz Medium Electric Guitar Strings:

These strings are for those guys who want to tune low, play Pride and Joy, or who just downright pick hard on their guitars! I used these because they I really play hard on strings, they give a very FAT sound with a lot of definition and get that much closer to sounding like Stevie Ray Vaughan. Definitely recommended for people who tune low, whether it's drop C or G# these strings won't go flabby on you. Only reason I don't play these more often is that my local store only had one set in stock, and I got the last one.

    No better metal

Comments about D'Addario EPS600 ProSteels Jazz Medium Electric Guitar Strings:

I first tried these on a BC Rich Mockingbird I used to have because I needed strings that were big enough to give me lower tunings and were bright enough to add more volume and detail. I liked them so much that they were my first pick to restring my Schecter T-7. They aren't for everyone or every style, but these will add a razor-sharp, glistening steel bite to any guitar that's used for heavy styles and they'll stand up to a steel pick like a brick house in a hurricane. I won't use anything else on a 7-string.

Get these if you want serious tone!

Comments about D'Addario EPS600 ProSteels Jazz Medium Electric Guitar Strings:

I just got the D'Addario ProSteels Jazz Mediums. Even if you don't end up with 13 gauge (I detune to C) the prosteels are worth it. I've had these for a few weeks now and they sound warmer, brighter, and fuller than any strings I've used. The highs especially sound clean. Not shrill at all. The only downside is they feel sticky but that goes away after a few days. Small price to pay for amazing tone.
