I just bought a pack of these about three weeks ago, and hands down these are the best strings I've ever used. I've tried Dunlops, Ernie Balls, etc., but none of them felt right to me. I tune in the range of C standard (C F Bb Eb G C) to drop B (B F# B E G# C#) and drop A# (A# F Bb Eb G C) and the strings work for ALL of these tunings. The wound 3rd does WONDERS for keeping the 3rd string in tune. If you're looking for a long lasting string with great tone and drop tuning capabilities, these are the strings for you.

Comments about D'Addario EJ22 Nickel Jazz Medium Electric Guitar Strings:

i've been a pro musician for over 40 years. d'addario's are strung on all my guitars except my gypsies. i tried a number of various brands earlier on in my career and had found d'addario's to be of consistant quality, so i stayed with them throughout the years.

Comments about D'Addario EJ22 Nickel Jazz Medium Electric Guitar Strings:

I haven't used D'Addario strings in over 20 years because I kept getting dead "D" strings in my sets 10's, right out of the box. I've been using SIT Strings exclusively for all of guitars, with great results.
Unfortunately, I've recently picked up an Epiphone Regent Deluxe with a frequensator tailpiece and my SIT's wheren't long enough on the bass side so I went with the D'Addario's and they seem just fine.

Comments about D'Addario EJ22 Nickel Jazz Medium Electric Guitar Strings:

I play short scale guitars. I have an epiphone explorer (24.75) and an Ibanez Art100 (24.7). For the longest time ive been wanting a string set where i could tune to drop c and drop b with out having floppy lower strings. These are perfect. D'addarios have a higher tension than most other string brands, so they hold up well. Just be cautios, if you are a lead player like me, the e, b, and g strings will take some getting used to because they are a little thick. But these are perfect if youre primarly a rhythm player.

        its in the name

        By Dillon

        from TX

Comments about D'Addario EJ22 Nickel Jazz Medium Electric Guitar Strings:

the title of the strings is Jazz mediums. They play very mellow and give a naturally 'warmer' sound than the thinner strings. Stevie Ray Vaughn played .13's on #1, so there might be something there. That said, these strings are not made for heavy metal huge sustaining, heavily distorted solos.

I picked up giutar at age 8. I am now 35. I play modern music with heavy/melodic chords.I have played on EVERY brand of strings. I always find them rusting, going out of tune,or just down right breaking!! I have been using D'Addario for the past 12 years. I have been using D'Addario EJ22 Nickel Jazz Medium for the past 5. I have NEVER struck a better string!! If you want a STRONG/MEATY string that stays CLEAN, You have to try D'Addario EJ22 Nickel Jazz Medium!!!! Thanks D'Addario for all the great years!!

        Great Strings

        By The Original Long-Haired Freak

from The Great State of Denial

Comments about D'Addario EJ22 Nickel Jazz Medium Electric Guitar Strings:

When I finally bumped my string gauges up to 13's, these were the first ones I tried out on a Goth Epiphone Explorer. These strings held up to brutal punishment, and sounded fantastic. My only complaint is that they are all packaged in a single bag. I no longer use these strings, but they are awesome none the less.

Comments about D'Addario EJ22 Nickel Jazz Medium Electric Guitar Strings:

I've been looking for fat strings for a fat sound, and I definitley got it with these strings. The lows are so deep and expressive and the highs have incredible sustain. If your looking for that fat tone, these are the strings for you!

        Great All-Around Strings

        By ZULND3R

        from Cleveland, OH

Comments about D'Addario EJ22 Nickel Jazz Medium Electric Guitar Strings:

Fantastic strings. The wound G string feels much better than an unwound string. Personally, I use the strings to down-tune to C standard (c,G,D#,A#, F,C) and I have no problems. They are a bit thicker than what many people might be used to, but they play very well. Minimal fretbuzz, and they seem to last a long time w/o wearing out. Would recommend the D'Addario's to any guitarist.
