These strings are great. Got them when I got my 1st guitar because I was recommended by a friend to get these. Since then, I've tried various brands and types like 80/20, coated, non-coated and I've always come back to these and have never complained, or switched them out until they wore out unlike some sets that I've had. They feel balanced, sound great, and last long. They're great if you're starting out or if you've been playing a long time. A lot of artists use these. I've had a lot of these sets and never broke one. So for sure, they're reliable. They make any acoustic sound good, the way it's supposed to. I've played all types of music with these. They're easy on your fingers because they're a light gauge, but don't sound weak. Great strings and have never regretted or doubted buying them. If u want get the 3 or 10 set n save yourself some $$$ in the long run lol.

I usually use Elixir strings. They are the best but they are expensive. Couldn't resist the price of the D'Addario. Thought to myself, how bad can they be? Lets just say I had to take them off and get a good set of strings and replace them. My decision to go cheep turned out more expensive. I won't do that again.

Slow Service at Guitar Center

By Robert Craven

from Denton, NC

Comments about D'Addario EJ16 Phosphor Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings Single-Pack:

My wife thinks Guitar Center has the slowest service in the world. I go there to buy a set of strings, D'Addario Phosphor Bronze lights. I know what I want when I walk in the door. A simple set of $5 guitar strings. No big deal, right? An hour later, I leave with the strings. An hour? You know how it is. You can't just go in Guitar Center and get a set of strings. Gotta try out the acoustics (fell in love with a Seagull), goof with a few electrics that I have been looking at on line. Pick out a bass (and I do not even play bass). Check out the amps. Keyboards - a room full of keyboards. Mixers, mikes, and PA speakers so if I ever get good, I can put on a show. I found a used Epiphone Les Paul Standard for $250. Too bad I only had $5 and had to settle for a new set of strings for the acoustic. BTW - I find these strings to be bright and crisp and work well with my rosewood guitar. And the good thing about them - they are not a coated string that never wears out. Can't wait that long to go back. You know how it is.

Awesome strings for an awesome price!

By Dylan

from Wisconsin

Comments about D'Addario EJ16 Phosphor Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings Single-Pack:

When I bought my used Ibanez AEL10LE, it came with brand new EXPs (i think) on it, but the sales guy at guitar center recommended these to me over martins, saying these last longer and are brighter. The EXPs sound awesome, but at a price that is a little steep, so i got these. I just put a pack on the other day when i broke a string, and these sound the same as the EXPs if not better, but they are harder to slide with. They still sound like they did when i put them on given that my fingers sweat a lot and i play a lot.

Best I've tried.

By Bill McGrath

from Hartsdale, NY

Comments about D'Addario EJ16 Phosphor Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings Single-Pack:

I brought my Martin in for a setup and forgot to tell the guy to use Martin coated strings, you know, the ones that came with the guitar cost a lot more. Anyway, he put these on and they sounded better and lasted longer. That was a year ago and these have been my strings of choice ever since. They sound bright and clear and they stay that way for much longer.

No problems here.

Comments about D'Addario EJ16 Phosphor Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings Single-Pack:

Bought them because that's what originally came on my Epiphone Hummingbird Pro. Never had any problems out of these strings so that's what I keep on it.

      Strings are Greate

      By Bobby Vang

      from Fresno, California

Comments about D'Addario EJ16 Phosphor Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings Single-Pack:

My guitar came with great strings and I couldn't bare to replace them, but at last I had too. These were recommended to me buy two of the people and I respect. They sound great, and I guess these still need to stretch in a bit. I'm not good at tuning or restringing so I've already broken my 3rd string. (Good thing I had a back up) And I already know which strings I'll buy to fix it. "D'Addario EJ16 Phosphor Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings " of course. (:

I've been playing my Martin D-35 for almost 40 years and have tried many other strings. But the D'addario phosphore bronze lights are still my favorite. Resonant bottom end and bright top end is perfect. Love, love, love them.

Comments about D'Addario EJ16 Phosphor Bronze Light Acoustic Guitar Strings Single-Pack:

I have used these strings for quite a while on several of my guitars, they have always preformed consistently. Not the same life expectancy as coated strings but generally sound great; bright when you first put them on but like most strings mellow with time, so ultimately I probably play them beyond when I should allowing where I am playing to dictate when to change them.
