  • Great Strings But Hard to Find

As reviewed by Pam Gray on 4/9/2010

I have used various D'Addario strings, and I keep coming back to the J75. I use them on my Gibson Goldrush, and they really give my high strings a bright tone as compared to other strings that I have used in the past. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find very many music stores in the DFW area that actually have them in stock in their store.

  • Should have bought Martins.

As reviewed by Joey D on 3/23/2010

So I bought these, because they are the only mandolin strings the local music shop offers. I've been playing mandolin for about 3 or so years, and avidly use Martins. The past 2 times, since the music shop quit selling Martins, I bought these. I play guitar, and I am not fond of D'Addario anything(I'm an Elixer and Dunlop guy), but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. I put the strings on, and although the loops were not fitting right, they seemed decent. But twice, when tuning the E string it kept falling out and eventually snapped and popped me in the face.

  • Wonderful strings!

As reviewed by Anthony on 3/24/2009

I've been using these strings for about three years now on my Kentucky KM-180S mandolin. Absolutely wonderful strings! They have great tone and a last a while if you manage them good. I highly recommend these!
