D'Addario EXP140 Coated Electric Light Top/Heavy Bottom Guitar Strings (106079577)
Availability:

Extended-life, coated steel strings.

Gauges: 10-13-17-30-42-52.

Through advanced EXP Coated Technology, D'Addario has perfected the art and science of coated guitar strings to deliver extended-play replacement strings that sound identical to the renowned D'Addario XL series. A micro-fine layer of concentric EXP coating is applied to the wrap wire prior to winding, resulting in guitar strings that deliver longer life, completely natural tone, and the feel of uncoated strings. Plus, the whole set lasts 4 times longer thanks to D'Addario's exclusive compound-plated, plain steel strings, which offer maximum corrosion resistance. You won't believe they're coated. The EXP140 guitar string set comes with a free extra first string.

  • AMAZING strings

As reviewed by Brandon Nickel on 6/24/2010

First off I hate paying more than $5 for a pack of strings unless if they do 2 things. They have to sound and feel good 1st and then more importantly they have to out last their cheaper counter parts. I've tried a lot of strings including Elixirs which are in the same price range and I prefer these because they feel natural but have wonderful harmonics and handle any style of music great. Only other strings I have yet to try are SIT strings which I'll try soon but doubt I'll be converted.
