  • Great Strings!

As reviewed by reese on 7/22/2010

I bought these strings to replace the originals that came on my Traben Array. I have been really impressed with the tone that these strings provide. They immediately improved the tone of my bass. For me it was hard to find a brand that makes a super long string and I haven't been dissapointed. Highly recommend!

  • Great Strings

As reviewed by Greg Amburgy on 6/10/2010

I love the brightness of these strings. D'Addario seems to maintain consistency in their manufacturing process. Their strings always provide the same clear, resonant tones. Guitar Center could do a much better job helping bass players distinguish between the different string lengths. I have a 34" scale bass and a 35" scale bass. I had to leave the GC website and go to D'Addario's site to figure out that they call the longest scale strings "super long". I also find it completely lame that the three GC stores in my area do not stock ANY super long bass strings. They sell basses that require them. But when I needed them in an emergency, there was not a set within 100 miles. I was a bit perturbed when the sales guy said, "We are Guitar Center, not Bass Center." So I always keep at least one extra set on hand at all times.

  • Try'em out

As reviewed by Paul on 6/6/2009

I bought these to put on my "junk-yard dog" Dean 5 String. Most of my peers play heavier gauges but I really enjoy how stable and bendable these strings are. The balance from string to string is good and these puppies really POP when playing higher tones. I play Ernie's on my P bass, but my Dean gets these from now on.
