  • Slamming strings for your seven!!

As reviewed by Moore5150 on 8/23/2006

I use these strings on my Ibanez RG7620. I generally play pretty hard and these strings can take the beating! They stay in tune longer, sound better, and feel better than any other strings I have tried. I use D'addario strings on all my electric guitars. Better than strngs that cost much more, these strings are a great value.

  • My New String Set Of Choice

As reviewed by Linda Belden on 10/22/2012

For the longest time I was using GHS strings exclusively. I was using the 6 string sets for roughly 2 years and then the 7 string sets for just over a year. Then a buddy of mine told to try out the D'addario's one time to see what I thought of them and I recommended him the GHS. Well to make a short story shorter I know only like to play D'addario strings! There absolutely is a tonal difference to the two strings! The GHS strings have a very very VERY bright tone to them. And I didn't realize it until I switched to the D'addario's. But for me I realized that the bright tone of the GHS colored the tone to where Jazz just didn't sound right. And even thought the D'addario's aren't mellow they are more mellow then the GHS strings "(something I love personally). But that wasn't what won me over!!! These strings feel friggen incredible! My experience with the GHS is that the feel would last for roughly a week of practicing upwards of 2 hours every day for one week. And when they lost their sleek feel you could tell they needed to be replaced. But with D'addario I've had my current set on for a month and they feel the same as the day I put them on. So for me D'addario is my string of choice and one day I hope that they would be willing to work out an endorsement deal. But if not /I don't think I'll be changing my string brand ... EVER!
