  • Smother Bass But Still Bright

    I have 2 basses and I wanted to set one up a little differently. So D'Addario Half round strings were my choice and are a lot easier on the fingers; plus I like having the main sound coming from the string vibrating and less sound coming from from finger noise. These work great for this without having to get all the way to a flat wound. I believe they will have less wear on my frets as well. I still get lots of dynamic range with half rounds, too. Sometimes smoother is better. Thank you D'Addario!

  • Wish I'd tried these sooner

    I just put a set of these half-rounds on my Lakland Skyline 55-01. Wow. They are super comfortable to play and have exactly the right tension. Best of all, the tone is superb. It's meaty and woody, with enough cut to play rock 'n roll but without the clanginess of a new set of rounds. These are going to be my new string of choice for the bass for sure.
