  • Great Set of Strings

As reviewed by Samuel on 5/19/2011

These strings have a great sound and are very nice on a classical guitar. I bought the hard tension strings because my guitar has a shorter scale and therefore the bass side of the tone was very washy. With the higher tension the guitar sounds much better. Also it is incredible how much "quieter" these polished stings are. While they do not eliminate all the noise created from sliding down a string, they certainly cut it in half or more. Finally having the composite G string is a great blessing since the standard strings detune so easily. The composite string holds tune so much better I actually became a little frustrated with the B string for not holding tune quite as well. The only small problem I have with these strings (and the reason for only giving them 4 and not 5 stars) is the price. It is quite the difference from the standard strings, although I think they are worth the difference, but I wouldn't minde a slightly lower price. (P.s. The composite G string is what I have used, but there is a normal G string in the package if you do not want to use the composite for whatever reason.)
