D'addario EJ33 Folk strings are high quality nylon strings with ball ends on each string to facilitate easy installation on classical guitars - as well as steel string acoustic guitars if desired.
I see that there are no reviews for these strings because, I assume, many are dismissing them due to the "Ball Ends". Do not let that fool you. I have tried quite a few, and find these strings to be really what I would call "player's strings". I say that, because as a player, the warm sound that these strings produce make one feel comfortable with the full, even, and balanced tone. They articulate well, with the full thought of expression being produced. Emotive, because with such fluidity that they produce that warm articulation that the player finds the emotional content of the notes being delivered as intended. I know that this is kind of a weird way to write about strings, but this has been my experience and my playing and content is better for it. I highly recommend these. If the ball ends throw you, cut them off and tie. A great product and for the record, I personally use them on a Spruce topped Classical, but I have ordered more to have as replacements and also plan to try them on my Spruce topped Dreadnought. THAT could be possibly very cool...
