    I've been playing bass for six years now and for a long time i hated flat wound strings. Then i got a set of chromes. Holycrap dude they are the best sounding strings ive ever heard. They have such a nice tone and depth to them. Even in hard core I play in A# and you would think it would sound dull or muddy but, its just the oposite. Ill probly never buy a another set of strings that are not D'addrio Chromes! The best strings ever!

    Great Strings !!! AS a Blues Bassist, I like A deep strong bottom from my Bass Strings. These strings really deliver. The highs are there too, but they don't have that Piano twang that D'Addario round wounds usually do. I was never a fan of D'Addario strings because of their Piano like sound, but these Flat Wounds changed my mind entirely. I happened to try them by chance because the Rosewood, Warmouth neck I put on my 5 string J-Bass was an extra long scale and my choice of flat wound strings was limited as a result. I'm glad I gave them a try.

    Nice tone on my Schecter Custom 5. Flat wounds for now on. These strings (SL) are for 35" scale basses. The longs are for 34" scale.
