Crown XLS 602D
The Crown XLS 602D powers my two 18's in my practice studio. They are solid clean, quiet except for the fans and most of all powerful.I can really move some air with the Crown XLS 602D.Good connectivity in back for a versatile array of hook-ups. A Solid and not too pricey power amp, thanks Crown!

Another example of why I swear by crown!
I recently purchased two of these amplifiers to deliver the midrange to the biamplfiied dual 15"s I use in my system. I was quite surprised to discover that these amplifiers delivered amazing results in this secnario, and handled quite well.
In the time I've owned these, I've also used them in a pinch for other scenarios. I've used them for bass applications and full range applications, and they functioned quite well with good sound quality.
The amp is missing some of the nice features that other amplifiers have. However, for the price you sacrifice some of the often unescessary bells and whistles other brands throw out you, and instead you get the great reliability that Crown amps are known for.

Great performer!
The Crown XLS 602D is a great performer. Although I am not a person to advocate running an amp at 2 ohms, this baby will take it....and puts out a rating of 860 watts. Easy to bridge to 8 ohms mono for 1200 watts of clean sound. The amp has a lot of great features to give you good service for years. One of the best features is the protection circuit. It protects from shorts, mismatched loads as well as overload. This helps you find set up problems without destroying the amp. The unit has a clip and low signal input indicator that takes all of the guess work out of setting your levels. Banana, binding post, and Speakon outputs give you connection flexibility to match your speakers and fit your needs. XLR inputs for a totaly clean and balanced signal. Here is another winner from the makers of JBL, Lexicon, AKG, and DOD. This unit has done well for me and I am looking forward to years of continued use.
