Solid clean Bass practice amp

By ux4484

from Chicago, Ill

Comments about Crate BT15 Bass Combo:

I have a BX15 which is the same as this amp but without the RCA inputs. One of my students has the BT15, it's hardly changed in years. One thing I have to say about this amp, is that it is boring... Only volume, tone stack, line in/out and headphone jack. Zero effects, no gain, bare bones.....which is EXACTLY what students learning Bass Guitar need...something that lets them hear when they've made a fret buzz or mistake in technique, a good, solid, clean sounding Bass practice amp. It also makes a good keyboard amp in a pinch. Since is has good solid tone and level amplification; it's a good amp to use with effects boxes/pedals/processors for Bass & Guitar, it lets you hear the effects and doesn't add any "sound" of it's own (ala Fender or Marshall low end amps). It is also sturdy enough to sit on.

Good Beginner/Practice Combo

By odd_one

from Kirkland, WA

Comments about Crate BT15 Bass Combo:

This was the first amp I bought when I lived in Germany and needed something cheap and protable. It got knocked around quite a bit and generally treated badly and it still works as far as I know. I could hear myself over my friends with amps twice as large and they had to keep telling me to turn down. Also, the simple controls make it easy to find a sound that fits you. It inspired me, in any case.

Comments about Crate BT15 Bass Combo:

It's a great bass amp for beginners or for a bass player looking for something to just mess around on. It was the first bass amp I ever owned and still use it today. I recommend it to a beginner.

Top notch practice amp for all

By Nix

from Twin Cities, mn.

Comments about Crate BT15 Bass Combo:

This is an excellent quality amp for the price. A wonderful practice amp that offers great tone for players at all levels. With beginners, this amp lets you hear the different nuances of the bass by letting you hear exactly what and how your playing. For the more seasoned player, it's a great choice for personal practice or backstage warm ups. I use mine with an American made Fender Jazz Bass every single day.

One of the best amps around

By BIGJOE1221

from Lake in the Hills

Comments about Crate BT15 Bass Combo:

This amp is great nomatter the instrument. I've used it for bass, guitar, and keyboards. It works fantastic for all three. It really offers a big punchy sound on guitar. This is quite amazing considering that it was meant do be for bass only. I guess that it is one of those amps like the vintage Fender Bassman circa 1958 and all the years around then. I think any guitarist, bassist, or keyboardist owes themself a try at this amp. When it comes to tone this monster delivers.
