This music stand is (was) a nice, compact, and lightweight stand that performed admirably for about two months (a half dozen performances). The major problem with this stand is that the clamping system used to hold the telescoping shaft is designed VERY poorly, and it failed -- during a performance!!! The soft plastic 'ribs' that clamp against the shaft cracked and broke and were rendered useless. Ridiculous!

Cordoba Precision Music Stand

By Bob from sunny AZ

from Scottsdale, AZ

Comments about Cordoba Precision Music Stand:

Just what I was looking for in a lightweight, compact but not flimsy music stand. This stand folds up nicely but also extends to a perfect adjustable height. It also comes with a nice storage bag. This is one of the best portable stands I have used in my career.

Very good stand

By Val C.

from Reno, NV

Comments about Cordoba Precision Music Stand:

Bought this online after checking one out at the local GC, where they had it put together wrong and the tripod legs wouldn't lock, so it was wobbly. I really wanted this to work, so I looked online and checked reviews and decided to get it. Glad I did, as there is no problem with the locking tripod legs. Like similar folding stands, it's a little tricky to figure out (and no instructions included), but not that bad really. And once you get it, it's not hard to fold/unfold. It's very stable and has a fairly wide book stand to hold the music. I definitely recommend this stand - it's a good value.

New Models Are Flawed

By JAMES RIDGE

from Durham, NC

Comments about Cordoba Precision Music Stand:

I have four of the previous models of this stand and recently bought another. The newer model has replaced the screw locks with compression tabs to hold the stand up/down telescope. These new compression locks (plastic tabs that roll over to lock) did not work after a few uses -- they did not hold in place, and the stand was useless. I will not by another of these.

So Perfect I put my 10" tablet on it to read music

Comments about Cordoba Precision Music Stand:

Why bad reviews I don't understand??? I owned (for last 5 years) a cheap silver 3 piece music stand, non adjustable...always fell apart, but when sitting playing worked perfect. IT HELD MUSIC. This ONE IS WAAAAAY amazing. Super light, very very sturdy, Simple to adjust or take down n pack away. Hold books, and single pages. So sturdy I can put my 10'' tablet on it and look up music that way instead of printing off music first....if I like it then I hit print. Theres always going to be a couple that break or whatever, all mass produced stuff can have a few problems. But 99.9 percent of these perfect.

Didn't last long

By Mickey Freeman

from Allentown, PA

Comments about Cordoba Precision Music Stand:

At first I was quite enamored with this music stand: light weight, ingenious design, compact. But when one of the two arms to hold the music down snapped off after about six months, I was not happy. Still, the stand continued to perform admirably until I was setting up for a gig last week. (By then the stand was only eleven months old.) To my dismay I found that the down tube had somehow separated from the tripod base, rendering the stand inoperable. Luckily, my wife was able to bring me one of my older stands in time for the gig to start. My Cordoba is now in the trash.

Comments about Cordoba Precision Music Stand:

After dragging around awkward shin barking never fit anywhere in the car conductor stands for years this was a breath of fresh air. Yes, you have to spend 30 seconds with a u tube video to learn how to fold and unfold it (hint - the long arms go up - the short arms go down) but it is worth the investment of time and money. Note - if you don't know the way to do it, you will bend it up so watch the video. More stable than the cheapo foldables; adequate for gig books etc; easy transport in the included bag. Works for me

Simple, sturdy, nice looking and functional - a definite step up from the flimsy entry-level music stand it is replacing.
