Wow! and not just for the price...

By Dwayne Wolf

Comments about Cordoba C9 CD Classical Guitar:

Admittedly, I was looking for a "lower end" classical. I didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on a delicate french polished concert instrument. That said, I like an instrument with a full sound, and lots of bass response. The trebles must be clear but there has to be plenty of kick to the low E string. Accordingly, I have been on a quest for a cedar or spruce over rosewood instrument for quite some time. I've played a lot of various instruments over the last few months...from some very well-known makers, to some pretty obscure names. Some were nice, some left me cold. The nicer ones were more money than I wanted to spend, but really weren't nice enough to pry my wallet out for. Then yesterday, I happened to see this C9 (cedar over mahogany) hanging in GC. I took it down and began playing. I couldn't believe this was mahogany! Dang - I had to look at the sides and back a few times just to verify. Yup, it's mahogany. The bass response was phenomenal. And that with no sacrifice of the treble clarity and pop! Very very cool! Just to be sure, I played several other brands hanging on the wall that day - some costing 3 times the amount, but they weren't close to this one. So, despite the price, this is just a phenomenal instrument. The C9 came home with me, and I can't get enough. The durable finish and truss rod are also bonuses for my purposes.

Incredible sound, stunning look

By Radu Custelcean

from Dayton, OH

Comments about Cordoba C9 CD Classical Guitar:

I?ve been looking for a nylon string guitar for a few months. I already owned a few steel string guitars, including a Taylor and a Martin, but I wanted to start playing classical guitar. After considering different brands, I decided to go with Cordoba after learning that they specialize almost exclusively in nylon guitars. The second question was which model to choose. I was going back and forth between a Fusion model, for the narrower neck and the plug-in option, and a more traditional classical. In the end I opted for the C9 cedar model and have absolutely no regrets. This guitar sounds and looks incredible . It has a mellow-sweet tone from the combination of its all-solid mahogany/cedar body and the nylon strings. The treble is very clear and sweet, the bass is very powerful, and overall it has quite a good projection. Plus the guitar is so easy to play that I can?t put it down. Visually it is stunning! I just don?t think you can find an all-solid guitar in this price range that sounds and looks like the C9. Though it is made in China, the craftsmanship is flawless. If you are looking for a nylon string guitar and don?t want to spend a fortune I strongly recommend the Cordoba C9.

What a GREAT Guitar!

By teresa

Comments about Cordoba C9 CD Classical Guitar:

Fell in love with Cordoba guitars and played many varieties, both used and new, at stores, on Craigslist, and at friends houses. Finally decided on a Cordoba C9 from Guitar Center. They are our go-to music store as they are very knowledgeable and negotiated the price. The C9 has such a full, rich tone. Chose the cedar top over the spruce top for both fullness of sound and smell of wood. I highly recommend Cordoba guitars. They have such variety, and all are wonderful for whatever fits your budget.

Quality construction And Value

By Frank Newell

from Oxnard, CA

Comments about Cordoba C9 CD Classical Guitar:

The first thing about this fine value is the finish which is not thick like many imports. Real tone woods give focused tone. Nice set up. Case has built in humidity pod what a sweet complete deal for a nice mid price guitar.
