I like this one more than some of the higher priced models by Cordoba (the work man ship seemed to be lacking in the other models). It's well put together and has a sweet one un-plugged (though it may be a little lacking for some). The cutaway allows for easy access to the upper frets and the action is low and buzz free. All around this is a good buy that won't break the bank.

I bought this guitar because it has exceptional reviews online and it has the best sound of any electric acoustic classical guitar in the price range. The Lucero model of the same price has almost all of the same features but just doesn't sound as good. This guitar has had all kinds of problems. My first two C5-CE guitars both had problems with the pickup system. The tuner would turn on but would never register a note making it impossible to use the onboard tuner. I checked every other C5-CE at two different Guitar Centers and they all had the same problem except for the one I have now. The employees all said that it must be a fluke and that these preamps are good quality. However, only one out of about eight of these preamps actually worked for me. Doesn't sound like a good preamp in my opinion. After I got the preamp issue fixed, the guitar worked fine for about two months but today two of the machine head plastic tuners broke off in my hand. Not cool. Cordoba is sending me replacements under the guitar's three year warranty but it is still a hassle. That kind of thing should not happen. I'm not buying Cordoba again.

Cordoba C5-CE a Great Buy

By DespeRodo

from Claremore, OK

Comments about Cordoba C5-CE Acoustic Electric Nylon String Classical Guitar:

The C5-CE is one of Cordoba's best modest priced classical guitars. The particular cedar and mahogany woods in mine seem to really blend together well. The tone is very clear and hollow with good volume whether plucking with flesh or picking with nail, it really resonates. Single notes continue to echo and sing and sustain well after played and without the amp. The crafstmanship is excellent and the rosette really matches well with the beautiful rust color woods. This is one of the best classic cutaway acoustic electrics at a bargain price for what you get. I would definitely replace it if it were lost or damaged.

Comments about Cordoba C5-CE Acoustic Electric Nylon String Classical Guitar:

I traded a cheaper classical guitar in for this one. This one is a keeper. I just wanted a nylon string to mess around with and this will do the job. Sounds great plugged in as well.

Comments about Cordoba C5-CE Acoustic Electric Nylon String Classical Guitar:

This is a great guitar. I tried it out and i personally think it sounds just as good as the Koa, 45fce, or other cordobas. For this price, you cant beat it.

Great Guitar / Great Price

By Patrick

from Las Vegas, NV

Comments about Cordoba C5-CE Acoustic Electric Nylon String Classical Guitar:

This is my second guitar but first nylon string acoustic-electric. It's a GREAT sounding guitar, comfortable and easy to play for both a beginner or expert. The built in tuner is simple and easy to use and accurate so you'll be comfortable knowing that your guitar is in tune. The only bad experience I had is I had the guitar for only 2 weeks and broke a treble string, but no big deal. I'd highly recommend this guitar to a friend!!

Boutique nylon/classical guitar at affordable price that rivals the expensive!

By Jonny

from Brooklyn NY

Comments about Cordoba C5-CE Acoustic Electric Nylon String Classical Guitar:

I tried about 8 different nylons after deciding to upgrade from my La Patrie, which I liked, and which I had for over 10 years, but wanted something new and better. I compared to 600 dollar Yamaha, a 1000 dollar Taylor, 600 dollar Manuel Rodriguez, and others, and this one blew me away. I even prefer it to some of the Martin acoustic I have tried that are over 2000-3000 dollars. Well-constructed, beautiful finish, playabilty, great low action, crisp and well rounded town. Great sound pickup. Also, they have a great lifetime warranty by buying a humicase guitar case. They have great customer service that replies promptly, and will send you a free set of strings for writing a review. I tried 2 or 3 Cordobas also before buying mine, all of the same model type. I suggest you try different guitars of different brands to find what works for you, but definitely recommend this one!

My 1st CORDOBA, GREAT! Won't be the last CORDOBA purchase.

By Rubi Metzel

from Garland, TX 75043

Comments about Cordoba C5-CE Acoustic Electric Nylon String Classical Guitar:

Been taking classical guitar lessons with this C5-CE & it is great! PROS:perfect for little hands like mine;very light; sounds great;on-board tuner is awesome; plugged it into an amp & sound is still great! Free GIG bag is good but I strongly recommend buying the HumiCase to protect it--it is too good not to take care of properly. CONS: Not found one, yet...
