Thanks Cordoba for unique guitar!

By Sam

from Milpitas, CA

Absolutely love my Cordoba CE I own for last 5 years. Cordoba it really good in making their guitars cool and unique. I can just watch my guitar for hours how it looks. Feels great when you play it, very soft and responsive. Did I mention how it sounds? Yes, it sounds awesome, tone is great! Classical or Nouveau Flamenco or whatever comes into mind. Pickup makes good and clean sound. It's also fun to directly connect the guitar into computer or iPad using audio interface and add a guitar track or into mix.

I love this thing!

By Ted

from Coopersville, Michigan

I've been eyeballing this guitar for about 1 1/2 years and finally just stopped screwing around and bought it. I used Guitar Center's phone line around Christmas and had it delivered to the house. Initially there was some buzz on the A string, then the G string, but the issue has resolved itself with no adjustments to the truss rod. I live in Michigan and I have to imagine the climate change and lack of humidity in December wreaked a bit of havoc on the wood. It plays beautifully now with no buzz whatsoever. The finish is superb with no flaws. The tuners work well, albeit a bit stiff yet. I may upgrade the strings in the near future. The cutaway is great and allows so much more playability. The electronics on-board are top notch and easy to use. It also has a built-in tuner - another plus. I am by no means an accomplished player, but I opened it up, tuned it and played a song or two on it and my wife said, "Wow, that sounds professional!" The action was great right out of the box, although after letting it settle to its surroundings first, I may look into lowering the action just a bit. I plugged it into my Peavey Vyper II and the guitar sounds just fantastic amplified. I haven't picked up my Telecaster or steel string since I bought it. The customer service on the phone was great. They promised 3-5 days for delivery when I ordered it on a Monday. It showed up by Wednesday night - another star if I could give one. I tried the Ibanez, Lucero, and the other classicals hanging on the wall at GC, but nothing sounded like this one. The cedar top gives such a full, warm sound that the others just don't compare to and at this price point, you just can't match it. You will not regret buying this guitar. It is by far the favorite in my collection!

Spectacular instrument at a great price point

By DANIEL

from El Cajon, CA

A little background, my primary acoustic guitars are both Gibsons (J-45 and SJ-200) -- both are incredible instruments and leave me with high standards for any future guitar acquisitions. That said, I was looking for a different timbre to add to my arsenal and a nylon string guitar was just the thing. I was a little wary of the laminate back and sides, although I knew the solid cedar top on this guitar would be great. I was pleasantly surprised both at the store and at home when I played this spectacular instrument at such a great price point. The C5-CE makes we want to play all day and gives me such a different sound than my steel strings Gibson flat tops, that I'm newly inspired in my playing. The sound is warm and even across the fret board and the balance between strings is superb. Another bonus is that is sounds equally wonderful plugged into my Fishman Loudbox Artist amplifier. I have no regrets whatsoever and would highly recommend this nylon string / classical guitar.

Epic

By Kevin

from Ellijay Ga

If anybody tells you that this guitar isn't amazing, then they are an idiot. I got this guitar for my 16th birthday and have had it for a few years. Out of all the guitars I own or have played, this is my favorite. I picked this simple guitar over many "high end" guitars from other brands. It is perfect for learning to play pieces from beginers to experts. It's also great for performing. I wouldn't play it at carnigie hall, or for royalty, but it is definitly a guitar you should own. Way to go Cordoba, 5 stars.

Wow; so much sound

By Cris Rogers

from Roxboro, NC

I've been wanting a nylon string & asked my brother (a virtuoso classical guitarist) what could i get for under $500; his response was unequivocal - Cordoba. So I jaunt down to GC Durham, pickup a few and he was spot on - the CE-C5 is a strong guitar with incredible volume and depth in the tone. I'm pretty sure the bro could overplay this guitar, but I sure as hell cannot. I'm thrilled and for a folk guitar (or a budding classical instrument) it is a winner.

Great Classical / Acoustic Electric

By Howard Schleider

from Blooming Grove, NY

I did a bit of research on Classical / acoustic-electric guitars with a retail price of $500 or less. This guitar came highly recommended. The C5ce easily held its own and out played others instruments in the price category and even a couple that were more expensive. A traditional Spanish classical guitar construction with a cedar top and mahogany back/sides. It has a cutaway styling and slightly slimmer neck than a standard classical guitar. It is very light and has a beautiful finish. The tone is quite nice with a resonant quality, the intonation is perfect, and the play-ability is exceptional. The electronics are very good, but not great. This is truly a great value.

Cordoba Nailed it

By Danny Ong

from Boston Mass

I bought the Yamaha NTX700, but after hear the C5-CE(a bit cheaper too) I had to buy the C5-CE immediately. Even with the beginner's ears, I still hear the differences...I'm not saying Yamaha NTX700 is bad, Yamaha has made awesome guitars. However, In my opinion, this sounds "better", more base and louder with acoustic sounds, the same effects when plugin for both guitars . I'm looking to upgrade another Cordoba when I have better skills for sure.
