I owned one of these as my first >50 dollar classical and played it for several years before giving it away. I am about to buy another. The tone is very soft and warm and carries very well. You can coax a lot of volume from this model, although the tone can wash out a bit if you are playing very softly, but hey, it's not a 5000 dollar concert instrument either so... I don't believe it is possible to find a better guitar for this price range. I love the cedar top sound.

This guitar sounds fantastic, but the bridge keeps coming unglued. I have had two of these within 2 months do this. I keep it in a consistent 70 - 72 deg Fahrenheit with a relatively low humidity (probably 40%). I don't know if it was just a bad shipment or what, but I swear I haven't exposed it to any temperature swings or direct heat. Just store it in the gig bag it comes with. Guitarcenter has replaced it once no questions asked now I have to bring back the last replacement too. Their ProCoverage Warranty certainly has helped me feel better about this, but I just want to play. Anyone else experiencing this with one purchased late 2009 early 2010?

My Favorite Guitar

By Eduardo

from Houston, Texas

I bought this guitar recently after reading positive reviews. I went to the store and as soon as i put it in my hands and played, i knew i wanted it. The sound is so full and resonates very well. This instrument is quality made and for the price it is a MUST HAVE! From a beginner musician to an experienced professional, this is an awesome guitar. I purchased this instrument to play Mariachi music but also to practice finger style and classical arrangements.

Awesome Sound!

Love playing on this guitar because it has a really good and decent sound. It sounds sweet and mellow but then can sound bright. Really good for those beginning on classical guitar.

Cordoba = Excellent quality

By Eric N

from Brooklyn NY

This is my second cordoba guitar. My first was a C3M and it was great. This one is even better. The quality of the sound is amazing. Great sound and resonance for your buck. The customer service is also great. This is a great company and a great product.

Super Sound

By W T

from Frisco, TX

I wanted to move to a Classical guitar and came across the Cordoba C5. This guitar demonstrates the great quality, sound, and overall playability for the price. I tried a few guitars in my search but always came back to C5. The finish is remarkable and appears to be a more expensive guitar. A well known guitarist told me this was a good choice!

AWESOME Guitar

By Rebeca Narvaez

from Seguin, Texas

This is the best guitar I have ever had. It has great sound, looks great and is just amazing! I just got it yesterday and have to say that I am very satisfied. The guitar that I had previously felt very heavy and was not of very good quality. And with this Cordoba C-5 I am very happy.

Read about the Cordoba C-5 online and wanted to try one out, they did not have one in the guitar room but they did have one in stock the saleman got it upfront and I went into the guitar room to try it out was very pleased with the build, very good finish and fit in this price range and the sound was just what I wanted, Pleased with my buy

Awesome Tone

By D Johnson

from Daphne, AL

I purchased this guitar yesterday, and spent the most part of the evening playing it constantly! The finish is beautiful, the action is great right out of the box, and the tone is AWESOME! Deep bass tones with good treble tones to boot! My wife is a little jealous, as she was ignored for several hours last night! Oh well, gotta do what we gotta do, right? Seriously, this is my second Cordoba guitar this year, and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase. Yes, it has a truss rod in the neck deeming it "not a true classical," however, the tones will make you not worry about this if you give it a chance. I would recommend this guitar to any aspiring student, including myself, as it is easy on the eyes, easy on the fingertips, and easy on the pocketbook, as well! Great product from Cordoba! P.S. Make sure to purchase the HumiCase within 7 days of your Cordoba guitar purchase. . . doing so gives you a "LIFETIME" warranty on your guitar instead of the 3 years that it normally provided. -- Great case also!!! Thanks Cordoba!!

Great!

By Aaron Herrera

from Laredo, Texas

I love this guitar. It has a really comfortable neck and it has a beautiful warm tone. Other than a small scratch on the side, it arrived in good condition. Let me tell you, this guitar is very difficult to put down. I just want to keep playing it all the time. It's a stunning guitar as well...it's light and has a built in truss rod which is nice. I definitely recommend the Cordoba C5 to any guitar player.
